Kaduna Golf Club Marks It's Centenary This Week



The Kaduna Golf Club, founded in 1921 is set to celebrate its centenary amidst fun-filled moments effective from the 13th of December, 2021 all through 18th December.

The Captain of the Club, Engineer Ibrahim Aminu Bagudu disclosed that an uncommon 100 years of the club in existence would be celebrated from December 13th  through 18th with various activities for the pleasure of the club’s over One Thousand members and other golfers across the nation.

He also disclosed that over one thousand members and golfers from across the country would grace the centinary celebration.

Among activities lined up for the centinary celebration are a Pro-Am Golf tourney and Golf clinic for both young and elderly and to be climaxed with Dinner and Award night.

Side attractions will include a cultural night,  evening relaxation and comedy.

‘’The atmosphere is indeed charged’’, an elated Bagudu disclosed adding that, ‘’I can tell you that our action Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who is also the patron of the club is quite delighted that the Kaduna Golf Club remains the pride of the North by still remaining formidable after 100 years of existence and looking forward to the celebrations".

The Captain, however, took time off to eulogize the sustainability spirit of the Club’s Board of Trustees members which include the Emir of Birnin Gwari, HR, Mallam Zubair Maigwari II, Col. Umar Dangiwa (Rtd), Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd), Arch. Muhammed Dewu, Engr. Andy Yakubu and Prof. Shehu Abdullahi.

He said, the members of the BOT have done so well to keep club members intact through the bad and good times. They contribute in no small measure to our strength of of the club in the past 100 years, he further stressed.

Partners in the centinary celebration include Kaduna State Government, Sahara Energy, First Bank Plc, Access Bank, Leadway Assurance, Hydodive. Nig. Ltd, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Kaduna State chapter among several other individuals and Corporate Organizations.
