The Loveworld singers led the globe in sublime worship of the All Mighty God at the beginning of the Live Services daily, which is followed by a charge by the Director of the Healing School, Pastor Deola Phillips to all men to bury their doubts in order to be in the receiving mode from God.

“Be in a receiving mode! God cares about you and has done something about your situation. Today is the day for your miracle,”- Pastor Deola Phillips charge all worshippers. And true to her charge, many who keyed into her words got their deliverance and miracles at the Live Healing Service.

Progress from China, broke his right wrist on February 22 this year. Since then, he could not carry any object. During the worship session at the Live Healing service, he got healed. “It is unbelievable but I got healed. When I got home, I moved my bed naturally without any pain.”- Progress said.

Mrs Leonie Sagn from Senegal had been suffering from goiter since 2011. For 12 years she was dependent on drugs and medication. Anytime she failed to take her drugs, the goiter swells. On Day One of the Live Service, when Pastor Chris ministered, he spoke about a lady with neck problems. She immediately felt warmth in her neck and knew she had received her healing. Since then, she has not taken any medication, and the goiter is receding.

Liza Dominico, from the United Kingdom, had battled severe body odour for years. Nothing she did could get rid of it. A while after Pastor Chris ministered healing during Day 2 of the Live healing service, she suddenly noticed the odour had disappeared. Till now, the stench is gone.

A man brimming with love and spiritual authority, the Man of God, Pastor Chris, shared daily, revelational truths about the person and character of God. DSS’ Interim Govt Alarm Ploy To Arrest Obi, Atiku Before May 29, Timi Frank Alleges

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on Thursday, described the alarm about a plot to foist an Interim National Government (ING) on the country as a ploy by security agencies to arrest the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, before the May 29 handover date. 

The DSS had on Wednesday in Abuja accused those it referred to as “entrenched interests” of plotting to subvert democracy by forcing the emplacement of an ING in the country.

Frank in reaction to the DSS’ claim, said the secret police know more than they chose to tell Nigerians and urged them to be more forthcoming. 

He said the security alarm by the agency was meant as an alibi to crackdown on peaceful protesters demonstrating against the rigged 2023 presidential election and to massively arrest opposition politicians in the country.

He said: “The DSS’ purported intelligence is fake. It is a plot to crackdown on protesters and arrest opposition political leaders before May 29. 

“We have credible information that the DSS issued the statement in preparation for its planned disruption of ongoing protest by Nigerians who are demonstrating peacefully to demand for justice and the restoration of their stolen mandate.”

Frank, who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP), Ambassador to East Africa and Middle East, said that the DSS ought to have used the same intelligence to stop abuse and killing of Nigerians by terrorists groups over the years. 

He said: “Where was their intelligence when the Independent National Electoral Commission and Mahmood Yakubu were compromised to rig the 2023 general election?

“Nigerians have been under siege by bandits, kidnappers and terrorists for a long time now, but the DSS never gave intelligence to foil kidnapping, heinous attacks, maiming and killings of innocent Nigerians.

“The only time you see the DSS coming up to talk about intelligence is whenever Nigerians are preparing to either protest against obnoxious government policies, rules, human rights abuses or carrying out lawful political activities.

“The DSS must stop this method of intimidating Nigerians, especially politicians, whenever they want to exercise their constitutional rights. 

“In fact, we dare the DSS or any other security outfit in the country to arrest Atiku and Obi before May 29 and see the wrath of Nigerians.”

He however called on protesters not to be intimidated by “this DSS’ fake intelligence of a phantom ING plot.”

He enjoined the UK, US and EU to immediately call on the Nigerian Government to allow Nigerians to exercise their democratic rights which is to ensure that the stolen mandate of the Nigerian people is restored through peaceful protests and the judicial process.

He added: “We are aware that the DSS is planning to sponsor counter protests across the country to clash with the peaceful protesters and use that as an excuse to clampdown on them.

“We dare the DSS to name those involved in the phantom plot if they genuinely have the ‘intelligence’ about a m plot to instigate an ING so the world will know those who plan to stop the inauguration of the President. 

“But we know they are not being sincere. This is often their style whenever they want to engage in propaganda and do a hatchet job. 

“On the contrary, let them name the purported politicians involved in the plot. Their real intent is to clampdown on protesters and arrest Atiku and Obi before May 29. Nothing more.

“We use this opportunity to call on the international community to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to call the DSS to order and stop them from meddling in the democratic process.

“The DSS is the one that is about to scuttle democracy in the country at this moment by plotting to arrest Atiku and Obi and other top opposition politicians,” he said.

He further urged the DSS not to allow the agency to be used to truncate democracy or as purveyors of fake news. 

He insisted that the DSS had of recent attempted albeit unsuccessfully to arrest and prosecute the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele for allegedly financing terrorism in the country. 

“They later pulled back following the outcry that trailed the move. This is another of such hoaxes and it is one too many,” he said.

APC Chieftain Felicitate With North West Governors - Elect, Ask Them To Work For Citizens

The Zonal Secretary North West of the All Progressive Congress (APC)  Rt. Hon. Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo while congratulating Governor's elect on the party from the North West region, has also charged them on the task of governance ahead of them.

Speaking with newsmen on the outcome of the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections, Hon. Goronyo said, the confidence reposed on the governor's elect by their respective states cannot be taken forgranted.

He said, their victories at the polls is a testament of the acceptability of the party, stressing that they cannot afford to fail the people who elected them but to ensure that dividends of democracy is visible in their respective States. 

Rt. Hon. Goronyo who is also the North West Director Youth Mobilisation APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) commended the youths under his directorate for their enormous contributions  in the victories of the north West Governors on their party platform.

Towards this, he urged the governors to ensure that the youths and women are carried along effectively in the administration of their respective States as a way of appreciating their efforts at the polls and justify the saying that, to whom much is giving, much is expected.

" I have no doubt whatsoever that all the North West governors elect of APC will deliver on their mandates in their respective States, I however call on all and sundry to give them maximum support for them to.suucceed effectively on their mandates of good governance.

" Above I also urge that we pray for Allah to direct them on the right part in the discharge of their executive responsibilities and particularly for a good working relationship with.their respective States House of Assemblies.

2023 polls: Group urges APC to reward Kano Central candidate*

A group under the aegis of Kano Progressives Forum has called on the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC) to consider rewarding its Kano Central Senatorial Zone candidate, Abdussalam Abdulkarim Zaura, for what described  as his " legendary support and generosity to the party since 2019".

A statement signed by the group Director of Publicity, Malam Aminu Abubakar noted that  Zaura "has donated 50 vehicles to the APC and ensured the establishment of functional Local Governments party offices in the entire Kano State" adding that " this commitment to the party's victory is almost unbeatable  in the recent history of the party".

"We urge the national leadership of the APC to do all within its democratic powers to give special recognition to A. A Zaura, and we make thus call without prejudice to the possibility of reclaiming his mandate in court," the statement further noted.

Turning to the winner of APC Kano North, currently contesting for the slot of Senate President, Sen. Barau Jibril (Maliya), the group called on " both the party and distinguished members of the 10th Senate to give him massive support, on grounds of competence and in the spirit of accepted democratic principles"

Timi Frank congratulates Osun Gov Adeleke, lauds Appeal Court Justices 

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on Saturday, congratulated the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over the reinstatement of his mandate by the Appeal Court.

Frank in a statement in Abuja, also lauded the Justices of the Appeal Court that courageously decided the case and upheld the victory of Senator Adeleke as the duly elected Governor of Osun state, despite attempt by the tribunal to fraudulently upturn the mandate.

He however called on Adeleke to be focused on his development strides by wiping the tears of the people and delivering the state from backwardness now that distraction of the court case has been put to rest by the judgement of the court.

He thanked the Appeal Court justices and by extension the Nigerian judiciary for mustering the courage to uphold the Truth and Justice, saying, “We want to see this in them in other election’s petition cases.”

Frank, who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP), Ambassador to East Africa and Middle East, urged the Judiciary to know that in areas where they have done well, Nigerians and the world will hail them but when they do wrong, Nigerians will call them out. 

He said: “We hope the Judiciary will bring this courage to bare in doing the needful in deciding the Presidential election petition cases now before them. 

“The Judiciary must realise that the only hope Nigerians have today is in them. We hope they will not dash that hope. 

“We know there will be pressure on them by the powers that be to do the wrong thing, but they must be guided by the bigger picture which is to free the people from exploitation and slavery in taking their final decision. 

“History will not forget the Justices that decided the Adeleke Versus Gbeyega Oyetola Appeal for sticking to the truth. 

“Despite the oppression, they remained courageous. However, this is not the end of their task. A greater task beckons and that task is to redeem the damaged image and lost glory of the judiciary. 

“We believe there still exist some incorruptible judges with good conscience. This is not the time for the judiciary to sell justice. It is time to give justice back to the people. 

“Nigerians and the world look forward to the Judiciary to restore the presidential mandate which has once again been stolen from the people the same way they upheld Adeleke’s victory  and restored his mandate

“It is an open secret that the Independent National Electoral Commission totally disregarded their own guidelines and did not follow the rule of law during the presidential and National Assembly elections. 

“The Justices of the Appeal Court now have the opportunity to write their name in gold by restoring the lost confidence to the judiciary again. 

“Majority of Nigerians have in recent time lost hope and confidence in the judiciary but with this judgement the hope and confidence of the people has been rekindled. 

“We hope the Judiciary keeps and sustains this  renewed confidence now rejuvenated through this courageous judgement."

Kogi APC: Ward Exco Denies Purported Letter Suspending Muri Ajaka

The leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 1, Ajaka in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi state has denied knowledge of the purported letter of suspension on the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yakubu Murtala Ajaka.

The APC leaders said said falsehood by the mischief makers becomes more glaring from the inclusion of the name and signature of the late Ward Welfare Secretary, Danjuma Sani, who died on 13th April, 2022.

In a disclaimer letter addressed to Hon. Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, dated Friday, 24 of March 2023, and signed by the APC chairman Ajaka ward 1, Omale Danladi and the ward secretary, Suleiman Abubakar, the party leaders queried the time and place where the ward executive members met to take decision to suspend the Hon. Yakubu Murtala Ajaka.

While regretting the inconveniences and pandemonium caused the governorship aspirant as a result of the purported suspension, the ward executives assured him of "unalloyed support for you before, during and after the elections and to further assure you that, with your unmatched records and by the grace of God, your victory in the forthcoming elections is assured."

The letter which is copied to the APC national chairman, North-central APC chairman and the Kogi state APC chairman reads: "We, the leadership of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 1, Ajaka in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi state wish to and hereby deny the purported letter of your suspension alongside all the allegations contained therein in entirety, as they are completely frivolous, false and a calculated attempt by political enemies to tarnish the image of the generality of Ward 1 Party Excos and to distract and frustrate your selfless political ambition.

"The falsehood and mischief of the mischief makers becomes more glaring from the inclusion of the name and signature of our deceased Exco member by the name Danjuma Sani Ejika (Welfare Secretary) who died on 13th April, 2022 on a purported document containing the names and signatures of Ajaka Ward 1 Exco members present at the purported meeting whereat the decision to suspend you was reached.

"What is more, the place, date and time when we, the Ajaka Ward 1 leadership of our great party reached the purported decision to suspend you is not stated on the letter.

"While we regret all the inconveniences and pandemonium occasioned by this mischievous act of the political enemies, may we use this medium to reiterate our unalloyed support for you before, during and after the elections and to further assure you that, with your unmatched records and by the grace of God, your victory in the forthcoming elections is assured."

Governor Elect, Lt Col Agbu Kefas (Rtd) "Not Associated with Parochial Religious Bigotry" - Spokesman

Col. Agbu Kefas, the Governor Elect for Taraba state has dismissed the insinuation in some quarters about the plan for an exclusive Christian agenda.

Hon. Emmanuel Bello Spokes person for Col. Agbu Kefas in a press statement titled "Not in Colonel Kefas character" described the mischievous piece floating on the internet as fake news and the handiwork of his opponents and should be disregarded 

Part of the statement reads;

"Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous and heavily childish piece floating on the internet purportedly from Taraba state Governor Elect, Lt Col Agbu Kefas (rtd). Discerning minds have since dismissed the fake post but for the purpose of clarity let's state that Kefas can not and has never been associated with parochial religious bigotry. The jaundiced piece, presented as a leaked text message from Kefas, tried to create the impression that Kefas is planning an exclusive Christian agenda (whatever that means) as governor". 

"First, Kefas, a trained intelligence officer of the finest order can not be that careless in his phone activities  to send such a sensitive message to anyone. But on the whole, nothing on that piece is true about the nature of Kefas: a balanced, global and detribalised soul. What's more, through out his campaign, Kefas was consistent in denouncing religious bigotry in all its manifestations. He always emphasized that both in his early and adult life, religious harmony was a big thing with him. His grandmother is Muslim. Many of his top friends are Muslims. The military, the main institution that shaped his world view, had instilled him a love for all cutting across genders, tribal affiliations and all faiths".

"The funny text making the rounds is the last feeble attempt to attack what is looking like an impeccable record in character and lifestyle. Since Kefas happened on the political scene, many of his traducers are abit confused what to accused him of. That he defeated opponents at the poll does not mean he would discriminate against their faiths. He's planning to be Governor to all Taraba citizens irrespective of who they worship".

International election observers under the aegis of Pan African Women Projects, have stated that the March 18, 2023 governorship and state house of assembly elections held in Akwa Ibom state have met the international commendations of free, transparent, and peaceful conduct of the electoral process. 

They made this statement at a press conference held on the 21st of March, 2023 in Uyo with the theme, “Strengthening Democracy”.

 

The Pan African Women Projects which is an international non-governmental organisation comprised of women from all 54 countries in Africa has observed several elections in over 15 African countries including Nigeria.

 

Addressing  journalists at a press conference in Uyo on Tuesday, the non-governmental organisation said it deployed over 150 trained elections observers to the 31 local government areas, and made their observations and submissions in the areas of logistics, INEC ad-hoc staff, turnout of voters, security, vote-buying/lobbying, technology (BIVAS), etc.

 

The organisation’s spokesperson, Ms. Candice Solomon at the press conference commended the Independent Electoral Commission, citizens of Akwa Ibom, and security personnel for organising a free, transparent and peaceful election which prompted them to adjudge it as having met international standards.

 

“We use this medium to appreciate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the opportunity to serve in this election as one of the accredited FOREIGN OBSERVER GROUPS. 

“We want to sincerely and greatly appreciate Professor Mahmud Yakubu and the entire department of gender and inclusivity of the commission, especially for the unwavering supports that made our work very easy. 

 

“We also appreciate the various security agencies that worked tirelessly to ensure our safety by providing all the intelligence and protection needed to carry out our onerous duties.

 

“The 18th March 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections in Akwa Ibom State meets International commendations of a free, transparent and peaceful conduct of electoral process.”

 

The observers however called on security agents to “address all security lapses in the 2023 election and employ more personnel into the system to improve on a more effective security network during elections in Nigeria.”

They also noted general low turnout of voters in the exercise and submitted that “INEC’s performance at the Presidential elections especially as results were seen not to be transmitted to the IREV across the State had altered people’s trust in the electoral system.

AYCF Urges Kaduna Governor Elect To Concentrate Human Resource Development

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has congratulated the new Kaduna Governor Elect, Senator Uba Sani and urged him to be committed to both human and Infrastructural development of the State.

A statement issued by the National President of the forum Alhaji Yerima Shettima, said, "As a group, we wish to congratulate Senator Uba Sani for his declaration as the Governor Elect of Kaduna State, and we are quite hopeful that he will make a good leader. 

He expressed optimism that the governor elect will perform well stressing that, " When we were engaged in civil society activism in support of poor people against military dictatorship, he was unwavering in his determination.

"Over the years, he has maintained his position as a principled politician, identifying with popular beliefs concerning the masses of our people and has been jailed several times for that reason in various DSS detentions.

"He has always been at the forefront of the promotion of active participation of women and youth in the Nigerian democratic process, he has a reputation for generosity, supporting education  for the underprivileged, the IDPs and health care delivery services for free

"The emergence of Senator Uba Sani as Governor will definitely mark the dawn of a new era of economic, social, and security development of Kaduna State

Abia: Announce Obingwa LGA Results Now, Obidients Lambasts INEC

Abia Obidients have lambasted the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) over the electoral umpire’s inconsistency regarding Abia governorship election. 

In a statement jointly signed by  Comrade Chetachi Ikpe and Ndubueze Obiakwata, Coordinator, Peter Obi Grassroots Movement (POGM), Abia State and Chairman, Obidients Across Parties Alliance(OAPA) respectively, accused INEC of double standards and not being consistent with its inconsistencies.

"Abia Obidients categorically demand that INEC must strive to avoid playing double standards  by not being consistent with its inconsistencies regarding the electoral umpire’s bizarre decision to suspend the announcement of Governorship results from Obingwa LGA".

It would be recalled that INEC earlier today suspended the collation of results in the said LGA for investigation and interrogation

The groups urged INEC to declare the results and advised aggreived members to seek legal redress.

"Using the commission’s position on the presidential election as a precedent, we urge INEC to immediately announce the Obingwa LGA Governorship election result and proceed to announce the winner of the election. It is disheartening when INEC appears to have different set of rules for different political parties and personalities. That is very unhealthy for Nigerian democracy".

Gov Poll: Kefas wins Taraba in a landslide, to clear off salaries backlog within 100 days

The Taraba State governorship candidate, Lt col, Agbu Kefas (retd) has been declared winner in a tightly contested race. 

Kefas polled a total of 236, 712 votes with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and All Progressives Congress (APC), trailing at second and third place respectively.

A statement issued on Monday by the Spokesperson of Kefas, Emmanuel Bello, attributed the success to the doggedness of the electorate and the campaign council. 

According to him, the victory was an indication of the dominance of the PDP in the state. 

He also said that the youths were the real owners of the success for the role they played.

Bello said that Kefas would make the youths the centerpiece of his administration by major empowerment policies. 

According to him, Kefas would achieve a lot in his first 100 days in office, including paying off salaries backlog to civil servants in the state.

Speaking on the victory too, a chieftain of the PDP in Taraba State, Hon. Nuru Dantsoho, said the victory was a vindication of the party's performance in the state. 

While congratulating Kefas, he said Taraba State would experience massive development.

A governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Dr. David Charima said Kefas emergence would usher in greater unity and peace in the state. 

He said he has no doubt Kefas would perform creditably well.

The exhortation came to its peak as Pastor Chris concluded with these words, “All people are beautiful when the right thing happens with them. When Christ comes into your life, there’s a beauty and there’s a glory.”

The pivotal moment came when Pastor Chris approached the sick in the studio, and one could see their hunger and desire for a new diagnosis of divine health.

As the man of God laid hands on the sick, rebuked the evil spirits, and in some cases, blew on them; the devils of darkness fled. The lame walked, the bedridden jumped, the weak sprung up with renewed strength, and many more miracles took place!

Abia Guber: Obidients Movement Raises Alarm, Urges Obi To Cancel Proposed Visit

Supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi in Abia State on Wednesday raised security alarm and urged their principal, Mr Peter Obi to kindly cancel his proposed visit to Abia tomorrow, Thursday, 16th March 2023.

In a statement signed by Mazi Chetachi Ikpe, 

Coordinator, Peter Obi Grassroots Movement (POGM), Abia State and Hon Chief Ndubueze Obiakwata, Chairman, Obidient Across Parties Alliance (OAPA) on behalf of Abia Obidients, said his visit will heighten the already tensed political atmosphere in the state, adding that the visit is a setup fraught serious security threats.

"We are all members of various political parties who all worked for the LP presidential candidate’s victory at the polls in the state and we are of the firm belief that Obi has played his part by coming severally to Abia to campaign for LP even though we (Abia Obidients) mobilized virtually all citizens of the state to vote for him at the just concluded presidential election.

"We, therefore, urge him to ignore those pushing him to come back, once again to the state for LP campaigns as it could worsen the already tense security situation in the state, ahead of Saturday’s Governorship / House of Assembly elections."

"Youths of the great Ukwa-Ngwa nation salute the Labour Party, LP Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi for making them proud by putting up a sterling performance in the just concluded presidential election. 

"Even though he ran as a Pan -Nigerian candidate, we are proud of him as an Igbo son and thank Nigerians for obediently voting for him despite the electoral robbery we witnessed with INEC’s apparent complicity.

"We urge him to go all out and recover his stolen mandate, by all appropriate and legal means. However, as the owners of Aba-Ngwa (Enyimba City), we advise him to shelve his visit to Aba, our domain, scheduled for tomorrow, 16th March 2023.

"From our investigations, he is coming to campaign for Alex Otti, the LP Governorship candidate and it will be deemed by us as divisive and highly provocative.

"He has done enough to campaign for Otti and should allow Ndi Abia to decide who to vote for based on competence, credibility, and capacity, regardless of party affiliation.

Ahead of Saturday 2023 governorship and State House of Assembly, Southern Kaduna Youth Coalition (SKYC) has thrown their weight behind Kaduna State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, Sen. Uba Sani, as their preferred candidate urging voters to vote massively for him.

At a press conference jointly adressesed by Comrade Danjuma Afuwai John (National President) and Hon. Zakka K. Mazadu.(Secretary) of the SKYC, they also endorsed the candidature of the APC.

According to them, "we are calling on the good people of Kaduna state, to have a rethink of who to cast our votes to. Governance in the real sense is completely not religion, neither is it going to be ruled base on religious injunctions but purely constitutional and so whoever emerges the elected governor of the state will strictly be guided by the constitution of the country.

"Senator Uba Sani as he is known to the people of Kaduna state has all his life being a struggling gentleman, who, has desired to ensure good governance and good neighborliness in all he does. The All Progressives Congress Chieftain, Engineer Kailani Muhammad has frowned against the threat by Trade Union Congress and Nigeria Labour Congress to go on strike over petroleum and naira notes scarcity.

Recall that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), on Monday issued a 7-day ultimatum to the federal government to address the current issue of fuel and naira scarcity in the country of face strike action .

But in a reaction to the strike threats , Engineer Kailani Muhammad in a press statement personally signed  made it clear that the masses are not in support of TUC and NLC going on strike at this critical transition period .

According to him,giving the government 7-day ultimatum without recourse to what the federal government is doing to see that the scarcity of fuel disappear, amounts to being insensitive to efforts made so far to address the issues of fuel Scarcity and naira crunch challenges.

Kailani, who was a former staff of NNPC and union member spoke extensively on need for the two labour unions to shelve the strike idea and negotiate with federal government on way forward instead.

He noted that Nigeria just concluded a hitch-free presidential elections with Asiwaju  Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima of All Progressives Congress emerging victorious ,but it seems already the Labour Party and NLC are in romance with PDP to cast aspersions on the election outcomes.

 However he said ," The truth is that any  attempt to go strike  will not augur for Nigeria. If the labour unions want to embark on a sincere strike action, they must as matter of urgency discuss with government on the way forward first .

"Government has been doing his best by way of ensuring adequate supply of PMS and other petroleum products into this country.And from NNPCL reserve , all the time they have over one billion liters to service this country .

"All hand must be on deck to make sure that this government succeeds in the area regular fuel supply .It is unimaginable that at this critical period, NLC and TUC are talking about strike action

"We know there are still areas with queues , but NNPCL is working tirelessly to clear them . It is only the government that is importing fuel."

While reiterating that the masses  will not tolerate any form of strike now,  he asked ,"We don't know what they are up to,because we learnt they planned to  cause trouble,so that Nigeria will be on fire?

Meanwhile, he urged the security agencies to act promptly. Stressing that it is insensitive for  union bodies to give government one week ultimatum on  the issues of naira Swap and PMS  without prior failed negotiations .

"If they come out to protest the government should take action on them because they as re not sincere and honest. We want peace and tranquility to reign in this country .

"Subsidy regime is still there ,the federal government is yet to remove it .You are all aware that the  President elect have promised to remove petroleum subsidy".he stated . 

"More  so, that assurance has been given by the Minister of State for  Petroleum  that government the subsidy regime will soon be over,thus there will be competition and marketers would be given opportunity to import without hinderance .

Kailani also hinted that the Port Harcourt refinery will soon become fully operational .

He warned against Saboteurs, saying "Anyone who wants to disturb the peace of this country would be arrested and jailed."

Ahead of the Saturday Governorship elections across Nigeria,the former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani has backed the re-election bid of the All Progressives Congress candidate and  current Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu.

According to him, though the recent presidential election results reveal the overt threats from the Labour Party in Lagos State, it's time the voters in the State shun all forms of sentiments and  considered experience; capacity and ability to work and deliver on campaign promises.

He also said in a cosmopolitan State such as Lagos,people shouldn't vote along line of sentiments, especially when Sanwo-olu is a working clock and working machine,who has consolidated on the good works of all his predecessors.

Senator Shehu Sani, who stated this in an interview with some journalists on his view about the forthcoming March 18 gubernatorial elections across Nigeria   said in his views that, "Stopping Sanwo-olu is stopping the wheel of progress."

Fielding question on why as a PDP member, he decided to support Sanwo-olu of APC for Lagos Governor instead the PDP candidate  , the former Lawmaker said, " It's true that I am a member of the People's Democratic Party ,but from the PDP's performance during the Presidential election in Lagos , it obvious that the battle is between APC and Labour Party .For me, the leadership record of Sanwo-olu  is inspiring.I’m not from Lagos, but Lagosians should vote for him. 

On attacks on Igbos and their Properties , Sani said ,"Lagos is not a no man’s land, but it’s wrong to attack the Igbos.They are there, because they believe in one Nigeria. The constitution guarantees every citizen the right to live anywhere.  

"I don’t know about the Labour candidate but it appears he is a man of honour and with great ideas. The challenge he poses is good for democracy."

Don't Promote Hate Speech, Violence, Penticostsl Bishops Forum Warns Religious Leaders

Ahead of the Saturday 18tj March, 2023 Governorship and States Houses of Assembly elections in Nigeria, the Penticostal Bishops Forum (PBF) had cautioned clerics both of the Christian and Islamic faiths to be mindful of their sermons, utterances and hate speeches to avoid inciting their followers and others.

Chairman of the forum, Kaduna State Chapter Bishop Ademola I. Tinuoye who made the call in an interview with newsmen on the forthcoming elections, also called on the good people of Kaduna State to come out enmass on the18th March to vote/elect their leaders without sentiment. 

He admonished that competence and inclusiveness which he said is better than gang up and conspiracy should be the yardstick for who to vote for regardless of party, religion or ethnicity.

"Christian and Muslim leaders must stop issuing statements that could create chaotic tension and over heat the polity, their speeches or sermons must be such that will calm nerves and promote peaceful and religious coexistence.

"While we appreciate the outgoing administration in Kaduna State under the leadership of Malam Nasir el-Rufai for infrastructural development in the state,  we appeal to them that they should complete the ongoing projects especially those in the  southern part of the state capital.  Doing this will change some narratives". 

On the current naira notes and fuel challenges, Bishop Tinuoye urged the citizens to endure the challenges, saying it will soon be over, adding that it should not discouraged them from coming out to exercise their franchise.

He frowned at the renewed attacks on some communities of Zangon Kataf of Southern Kaduna and called on government and security agencies to rise up to the situation before it excalates beyond what it is now.

" We pray for peace in the troubled Southern Kaduna and any other area in Nigeria. May the peace of God reign supreme and expose those behind the attacks" he prayed.

We Have Lost Confidence In Prof Mahmud Yakubu Led INEC - National Youths Alliance

The leadership of the National Youths Alliance has passed down  a vote of no confidence on the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC), led by Professor Yakubu Mahmood and the conduct of the February 25 Presidential  and Legislative Polls 

In an interactive session with media men in Abuja, the National spokesmen of the group, Comrade Obande Gideon  while appraising INEC's conduct of the February 25 Election, said that President Muhammad Buhari took time to  package a well designed electoral process aimed  at  bequeathing  credible election to the nation, however,  the INEC chairman sabotaged the process.

According to the text of the briefing made available to our correspondent  in Kaduna on Tuesday,   Comrade Obande added that the INEC boss derailed the process by deliberately refusing to allow the transmission of the results electronically and on real time in order to allow the servers to be tampered with.

The national spokesperson went further to accuse Prof Mahmood of embezzling  over N400 billion  allocated  to the electoral body for conduct of election, insisting that the electoral umpire's boss should explain how he spent the said amount .

"Prof Mahmud Yakubu is the biggest obstacle to Nigeria's electoral voyage to free and fair elections. He promised Nigerians a credible election but reneged on the promises.

"We are calling on Prof Mahmud Yakubu and his resident electoral commissioners to explain how they spent over N400 billion given to them to conduct the 2023 general election .

"In the same vein, we are calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC), Independent Crimes and Related Commissions and other anti graft commissions to call  Prof Mahmud and commissioners to explain the rumours that INEC servers were about to be hacked, hence the refusal of INEC to upload the results of the Presidential elections . 

"We are also calling on the anti graft agencies to investigate  how Prof Yakubu  the N400 billion allocated to the electoral commission," the group said.

In the same vein, Comrade Gideon  said that the National Youths Alliance has lost confidence in INEC's ability to conduct a credible gubernatorial election and legislative polls coming up by   March 18. 

Apart from rejecting the result of the February 25 Election, the group said it would approach the courts with the aim of making sure that all the irregularities allowed by INEC are corrected 

Comrade urged the youths to come out en mass to vote for their choice of candidates  during the gubernatorial and legislative election, adding that, if they do not come out , the electoral body would allocated phantom figures to parties it favours.

"We are calling on the youth to come out massively next Saturday and vote for parties of their choice.Youth should also make sure that after voting, to snap results collated.

"Failure to come out massively and vote would only give INEC operators the leverage to allocate humongous and phantom votes to parties that it favours," they warned.

10th Senate: APC Chieftain Urges Members To Consider Electing Wammakko As President

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly (NASS) in June 2023, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) who is the Zonal Secretary North West of the party  Rt. Hin. Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo is urging Senators Elect both the re-elected and new ones to consider electing Distinguish Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as Senate President.

According to him, Senator Wamakko aside being a ranking senator has the requisite knowledge to lead the 10th NASS effectively towards complimenting the executive arm of government.

He stressed that Senator Wamakko's foot prints in Sokoto State as a governor who served for two terms of eight years is still formidable, adding that with his political sagacity and wealth of experience, he will be a perfect man for the job of leading the 10th NASS.

" He was a classroom teacher, seasoned administrator from local Government administration to Director General and Permanent Secretary in the state civil service, a two terms deputy Governor, a two terms Governor and a ranking Senator.

" Senator Wamakko is loved by all, being a grass root political mobilizer, a detribalised politician who is humble to the core will certainly lead the 10th NASS without any rancur if given the opportunity.

" It is on this premise that am appealing to the 10th National Assembly Senators to consider Senator Aliyu Wamakko as leader that can be trusted" adding that asides being a ranking Senator, Wamakko antecedents and political credentials stand him out, stressing that the President -elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu needs someone like Wamakko as Senate President.

"Wammako is a leader whose disposition is not inclined to religion or regional sentiments but some one who will carry all Senators along without fear or favour and regardless of their region, party or religion.

" It is on record that as governor of Sokoto State, he demonstrated all the attributes of a good leader which am sure he will bring to bare if giving the mandate of leading the 10th Senate" he said.

"Electing Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as Senate President will certainly amount to putting round peg in round hole which will produce best results.

" I once again urge the Red Chamber legislators not to be carried away by any sentiment but to consciously choose a leader in person of Wamakko that is capable, experienced, honest, hard working, reliable and who is ready to put his best for the service and unity of Nigeria" he stressed.
