2023: Arewa Coalition For Rotational Presidency Tells All Northern Aspirants to Step Down

... Insists on Power Shift to South in Interest of Equity, Justice

As the race for the 2023 Presidential Election gathers momentum across Nigeria,  Northern based groups under aegis of Arewa Coalition for Rotational Presidency (ACRP) have come out strongly against aspirants from the North,  saying it's would be unfair for north to retain power after eight years.

The group also vowed to practically rise and mobilize against all Presidential candidates from the North, who dared to contest under any political party during the general elections.

In statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of ACRP, Comrade Abdullahi Biu and Hamza Malumfashi said it will fair and just for  the seat of the President to return to the South to after President Muhammadu Buhari for the North, would spent two terms of  eight years in power.

The statement further reads : "The current brewing  political tension stirred by the call for power shift to south by Southern Governors and groups can only be doused , when all Stakeholders from the North, Governors and political parties agree to the Presidency.

"In the interest of peace ;equity and Justice, more so,  that the  north has been in power for eight years now, the idea of north even contesting for the highly exalted position of the President should be immediately jettisoned .

"All those pick nomination forms,  especially from the People's  Democratic Party should step down if there are true democrats .

"As a group of democrats from the 19  Northerner states, we strongly believe in the principle of equity and fairness as a panacea for peace ; progress and, thus our resolve support rotation of power to our brothers in the southern region .

"It is against this background that we are Advising all  the political parties , especially the two major parties, APC and PDP to  field only  southern Candidates".

2023 Guber Race : Group Identifies Sen. Shehu Sani as only Aspirant with capacity to secure Kaduna

Worried about the spate of attacks by gunmen and terrorists in the State ,Group under umbrella of Kaduna Development Support Forum(KDSF) has expressed strong conviction that Senator Shehu Sani can provide the requisite strategies and technologies that help secure lives and properties of the citizens.

The group also said the former Federal lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial zone in the 8th Senate has demonstrated  avowed commitment  within and outside government that he could be the  trusted leader who has the capacity to provide strategic security measures to ensure that lives and properties of citizens are adequately protected if elected Governor of Kaduna State .

The Coordinator of the Group, Abdulhakeem Hameed Alao in a press statement made available to journalists said ," The situation where all citizens and residents can no longer sleep with two eyes closed due to incessant banditry and terrorism attacks  and failure on side of government to provide security is not only unfortunate ,but grossly pathetic .

"This is why we have decided to come strongly to recommend ND support Senator Shehu Sani as the only viable voice that  fought; spoke  and advised the federal government on the best security strategies to adopt to contain the insecurity challenges while in the Senate .

But it appeared the current government both at State and Federal levels have  been unable to adopt the requisite strategy and proactive measures to tackle the overwhelming fire power of gunmen terrorising  Kaduna and other States of the federation  .

While  condemning  in strong terms what they  described as "Dastardly acts"  of the gunmen who attacked  the Airport, Train and Major highways in Kaduna recently ,the group however noted that  the recent  attacks in Giwa , Southern Kaduna and other parts of the State could have  be contained  if the right security strategy and approach were deployed to prevent them.

"You can't afford to  handle heinous crimes with kid gloves .There must a combined and coordinated  forces  from all security agencies to stop the attackers.

" It now obvious that there is a dire need to adopt grassroots intelligence gathering measures and involve traditional leaders a across the 23 local government areas to provide information about suspected criminals within communities.

" No doubt these so called gunmen or terrorists reside in communities and spend the ransoms collected  from their victims in the same communities .

"But when a government is bereft of ideas on how to tackle the overwhelming security challenge , the consequence is the frequent attacks, kidnapping and killing of innocent citizens" .

"We are mobilizing over one million Kaduna women and youths to vote senator Shehu Sani during the 2023 governorship elections  for a guaranteed security and dividends of democracy."

2023: Ameachi Gets 21-day Ultimatum To Declare For Presidency

*APC group saves 2bn for sponsorship

Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi, has gotten a 21-day ultimatum to officially declare for presidency, else he will be forced to do so.

A pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) on the aegis of Bridge Builders Initiative For Green Nigeria (BBIGN), gave the ultimatum during a solidarity march in support of APC and Ameachi, Wednesday at the APC national secretariat, Abuja.

National President of BBIGN, Emmanuel Orgwu, said any person who will find Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, and convince him to declare his interest to run for the 2023 Presidency will be rewarded with Ten Million Naira.

According to Orgwu, Nigerians are becoming impatient over his delay. But whether he is interested or not, Ngerians want him.

"It is based on the qualities which Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has that we, Nigerians are calling on the Ubima born leader and politician to declare his interest to run for the 2023 Presidency to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

"We Nigerians have saved the sum of Two Billion Naira to give to Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his electionary activities once he declares his interest to contest for 2023 Presidency. So, Mr. Minister, money is not going to be a problem or cause any hindrance. Therefore, we are giving you a twenty-one day ultimatum to declare, otherwise, we shall force you to do so. As Nigerians, we have both legal and moral rights to choose our King, and we have chosen Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

"Considering the character and integrity of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Nigerians believe that he is the only one capable of succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari. His capacity, commitment to good governance, welfare of the people, critical thinking on programme and policy implementation, approaches on issues that enhance growth and development and sacrifices for the party, put him at number one position for the highest job in
Nigeria.

"Nigerians also believe that the only person who can
sustain and continue building on the foundations laid by the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi."

While congratulating the new elected National Working Committee (NWC), Orgwu said: "We believe in our great party, APC and her leaders. We appeal to the new leadership to do everything possible to ensure that APC retains power come 2023. As a Pro APC group, we are doing our best. We have recruited over ten million Nigerians into the party, APC, and have registered over six million members with INEC. We must do everything possible as a support group to hold and mobilize more grassroots to ensure APC wins elections come 2023.

"However, we are congratulating the new National Working Committee of our great party, APC as they resume their office today. We also want to specially thank the leader of our great party, President Muhammadu Buhari, who provided leadership when it was badly needed and ensured that the party had a successful convention. Today, because we have the party, we can aspire and express our interests to run in the general elections Come 20023.

"Therefore, we are using this opportunity to request
that our great party, APC should adopt and support the Minister of Transport, RE. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to fly the flag of our party, APC as he is the most qualified amongst all."

While condemning the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna bound train, the APC group accused opposition leaders of sponsoring the attack.

"It is very bad and wicked for unscrupulous Nigerians to take up dangerous weapons to destroy lives and properties. We are accusing leaders and personalities in opposition parties to be the sponsors of the wicked attack on Nigerians, just because of 2023 elections. Must they kill their fellow Nigerians because of politics and power? God will judge them."

NITR Staff Condemn Flouting of Presidential Directives By Management

The Governing Council of Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis and Onchocerciasis Research (NITR), Kaduna has been urged to abide by the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) to appoint a substantive Director General of the Institute immediately.

In September, 2021 President Muhammadu Buhari directed the Governing Council to commence the process of appointing a substantive Director General in line with extant rules and regulations guiding the appointment as captured in a letter from the state house Abuja with reference *SH/COS/16/A/1487* (paragraph 2 C) of the letter.

But up to now, the Council were adamant and failed to abide by the directive. For more than six (6) months with the directive of Mr. President,  the Governing Council met twice in 2021 and 2022 respectively as the appointment of the substantive Director General was not in their agenda.

Speaking to a staff of the Institute who pleaded anonymity claimed that the Overseeing Director General Dr. Felicia Nneka Chizoba Enwezor had hands in the silent of the Governing Council on the matter of appointing a substantive Director General of the Institute.

He also maintained that since her assumption as the Overseeing Director General she has been engaging staff in vendetta mission by transferring and denial of promotion of staff who supposed to be an Assistant Director in the Institute for a minor offence that does not warrant such action as the Overseeing Director General categorically mentioned that he must be punished.

Another staff who pleaded anonymity also explained how the Overseeing Director General Dr. Felicia Nneka Chizoba Enwezor favoured one of her most anointed staff on CONRAISS 9 to head a Research Department as against chapter 3 (Organization of the Institution) article 3.1.2 (iii) of the Condition of Service (COS) guiding research and development agencies, institute and colleges.

2023: Unhealthy attack on Osinbajo must stop

By: Austine Agbo Emmanuel, Kaduna

The recent attack on Nigeria Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, stylishly from different camp of the National Leader, All Progressive Congress, (APC) Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a clear sign of desperation from the former Lagos State Governor, because desperation often times make people to forget their sense of value.

No wonder, he promised to fight dirty before now, though his camp tried everything possible to explain to us in another different way, but thank God, not every Nigerian failed their English WAEC/NECO.

Although many claimed that the recent attack from Kperogi, where he described the VP Osinbajo"A Religious Bigot" has nothing to do with the Tinubu's camp, but I begged to disagree because, National Leader of Tinubu's stature should be able to write a disclaimer, hence everybody believed that Kperogi was sponsored from his camp.

The truth remains that power come from God. Meanwhile it is obvious, Chief Tinubu is not the one to change Nigeria's current challenges. This is because statistics have shown that most people who are desperate for power has little or nothing at all to offer when they get elected.

Without doubt, Asiwaju is a King maker. But the last time I checked, "kingmakers are mostly not Kings."

Moreso, the APC National Chieftain, admitted that he is not physically strong when he claimed that he is not a bricklayer and therefore doesn't need physical strength to govern Nigeria. This statement also revealed Tinubu's true character of disdain for Nigerians who on daily basis engage themselves in one menial job or the other, just to make their ends meet. Bricklayers are also Human Beings.

Although, some of us with good heart regardless of whatever ambition are praying for him to get well soon, but we are disappointed to hear such ill Statement coming from a Public Figure like BAT. The question is, if he doesn't need physical strength, why then did he run to London for Medical check-up almost immediately he declared to run for Presidency??? Leaders need physical, emotional and mental strength to govern the affairs of the people. Without doubt, BAT is not one at the moment, considering the many disadvantages poised on Nigeria as a Nation.

Everybody may forget, but too late to forget Leki-toll gate where innocent Nigerians were murdered during the EndSars protest in Lagos, just because the Patriots staged protest, demanding for good governance. May their soul rest in perfect peace. AMEN!!!

Nigerians have suffered alot. As a result, needed someone with Human's feeling, someone who has value for lives, a patriot who will respect the will of the people before, during and after the poll, not someone that places Presidential ambition as a thing of do or die affair. Nigeria is nobody's property, a good leader must be guided by his words and actions.

2023 is around the corner. I therefore urge fellow Nigerians; compatriots to get their PVC and do the needful for a prosperous Nigeria.

Salary increment: IGP assures policemen of prompt implementation

The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, has assured police officers across the country that the recently approved salary increment by President Muhammadu Buhari will soon take effect. The statement which was meant for the entire police officers serving in the country was delivered to police officers in the Lagos state police command.

The IGP spoke through the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Research and Planning and Supervising DIG for the South West geopolitical zone, DIG Johnson Babatunde Kokumo.

Baba further assured the officers that relevant government agencies, including the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission; Office of the Accountant General of the Federation; and Ministry of Police Affairs have reached final stages of computation of emolument details of all personnel of the Force.

DIG Kokumo equally assured members of the Force that the issue of promotion is being looked into to ensure that deserving members of the Force get elevated accordingly.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, on behalf of officers and men of the Lagos State Command, appreciated the IGP for allaying the fears and doubts of his officers and pledged a renewed dedication to duty.

FG, IG working on better welfare packages for Force

Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force have been assured that President Muhammadu Buhari and IGP Usman Alkali are very much committed to general improved welfare package for the Force.

Though several successive administrations have neglected the welfare of the police and supply of critical equipment like weaponry, the current IGP though with limited resources is working hard to reverse the trend. For the first time the police is supplying vehicles to commands and is undertaking series of critical projects that will not only boast the morale of officers but will provide a conducive environment for them to work.

In a related development, Police officers and men in Lagos and Ogun States under Zone ‘2’ Command have been warned not to be distracted by rumours of imminent strike being peddled by a faceless group trying to heat up the polity and bring the Nigeria Police into disrepute while claiming to be fighting for salary increment implementation by the Federal Government.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone ‘2’ Command, Adeyinka Adeleke, stated this in a lecture.

Adeleke, who addressed police officers and men of Ogun State and Lagos State Commands, described the strike threat as fake and appealed to officers to be calm, law-abiding, steer clear of mutinous action, be focused on their duties and maintain the integrity of the Nigeria Police as a disciplined organisation with laid down rules and guidelines for addressing grievances if any.

AIG Adeleke told the officers during the lecture at the Zone ‘2’ Police Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos that the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, had put measures in place to ensure that policemen are comfortable.

He added that the IG was also seeing to the review of death benefits as well as welfare issues, including salary increment, pension and kits.

He said Baba has accelerated efforts to ensure the full implementation of the increment of salaries and allowances proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari and approved by the Federal Executive Council, even as he continues to deliver on the provision of kits, accoutrements, body armour, Cooperative Society’s housing scheme, renovation of training schools, upgrade of police training curriculum, procurement and deployment of technology to boost ICT-driven policing.

The IGP had earlier assured that the welfare of officers and ranks in the Nigeria Police were being given paramount attention, promising that the proposed new salary would be implemented soon.

A group recently served a notice threatening that the police will go on two weeks strike on March 26 because the salary increment approved by President Buhari has not been implemented by the Federal Government.

I will Form My Cabinet Under 24 Hours If - Prince Adewole Adebayo

Prince Adewole Adebayo is a Presidential aspirant and new breed politician that has been in the fore front of the campaign for clean election in the country.

In this interview with Mintah .net  Correspondent, Mike Odeh James  the Constitutional Lawyer, shares his views on the newly signed 2022 Electoral Act and other sundry issues.

Excerpts

Q: As a Presidential aspirant, are you in anyway relieved by the President’s assent to the 2022 Electoral Act. Do you think it will sanitize the electoral process?

ANS: I’m relieved and pleased, relieved on behalf of the country that we shouldn’t start with uncertainty, that is what I’m relieved of. Will the President sign or will he not sign, the electoral commission, INEC  was unable to publish its timetable because they did not know if they were going to work under what they like, because I think INEC prefers this scenario now to the earlier  where all the burden will be on them, last minute rush, the parties will take forever to conduct their primaries and when they will conduct it, they will do it in such a shoddy and controversial manner that instead of INEC getting clear nominations, they will get Court cases and disputations. So I’m relieved on behalf of the country. I’m pleased personally as an aspirant that the investment of time, resources and the mobilization of Nigerians all have a better chance of the people’s will being reflected, so it gives confidence to those of us who are coming in to play clean politics. It gives us a very good opportunity to talk to others, who will say it doesn’t matter, they will not allow the will of the people be shown or that the ruling party is bent on rigging. So you can imagine what it would have been like if the President did not sign, this will just give life to such suspicions.

Q: one of the significant components of the of the 2022 Electoral Act is the use of technology, do you think that our political experimentation if ripe for deployment of technology or do you think it will hamper the process.

ANS: Our entire life is exposed to technology now, so I don’t think we should make fetish out of this anymore. We use technology to do every transaction, no one who is ill now who will not want to use technology to cure himself, we use technology to fly all over the place, we use it to communicate, there is nothing mysterious about election, just a voter going to the appointed place, taking a ballot paper and putting in the box. So if bankers use technology to transfer money and even Court uses technology to hold cases, I don’t see any reason there should be any mystery regarding where technology should be used in election matter, it is suitable, it is about data collection, just like any other data collection and the transmission of that same data, it is just that the stakes are high, so people are worried about whether the technology favours them or not.

So that is where the problem is, there is nothing wrong with technology, it will work, it will have the same problem like every other technology has and the backups should be the same like when any technology fails, so there isn’t anything mysterious about it. And as far as technology is concerned, there is no difference between a rural area and the city because with satellite based technology, the whole earth is the same, so I think we should just make it clear that people should embrace it am even surprised that it has not being embraced before now.

Q: Most of these amendments of the Electoral Act are actually aimed at addressing identified gaps in previous experiments, so what areas do you think the 2022 Electoral Act will address?

ANS: The Act has tried to address many of the known sharp practices and fault lines of the past but there is no law that can change human heart. There are four problems affecting our elections, legislations can address manifestations of these problems but the intensions to make these problems occur can hardly be addressed by law, it has to be addressed by other value systems and people’s investment in it. For example from my experience, we used to have a situation where the first problem was the party in power used to have a do-or-die attitude to electioneering that if they lost a single councillorship seat or House of Assembly election or House of Representatives, it was like the party was going to die, it was like the leaders were not performing, so every leader thought it was their moral duty to maim, kill, rob, trick and do whatever to win so they could convince their parties that they were strong in their stronghold that was what we started with and even the leaders of the country go around to say it is a do-or-die, you must win this so if we have that there isn’t much you can do with the law because that will lead you to the next level.

The next level is that the leadership and the operation of the Electoral Commission was meant to reflect the do-or-die mood of the leadership, such that even in the selection of the Commissioners in the operation of their commission and the measures and activities they were putting in place, it was interpreted as whether they were loyal to the government, so if INEC was to do anything that was likely to bring popular participation, it was like you are betraying the person who appointed you, so that mentality of look for someone who is going to be loyal to you, who is going to carry out your do-or-die wishes made the Commission to have that attitude where they themselves were bringing within the Commission booby-traps for themselves, that’s the second part. The third part is the participants themselves, politicians were putting too much high stakes in the election, you will notice politicians selling their houses, borrowing money from banks, doing all sort of things. So the stake is not about let the wishes of the people be done, it was battle that could have been fought with guns and tanks now being fought through the ballot. So it made everyone desperate to a point where they could pay any amount of money to any official of the Commission, they could organize with law enforcement agencies, so this war-like approach could not have being addressed by the Electoral Act because the Act is there but every stakeholder believes that all is fair in war. The fourth problem was a point where the people reached and they stop being stakeholders in their own democracy, at a time where these people become a troublesome lot, during election time they come and scatter everywhere and once they win they take all the money and benefits to themselves. So we have to react in two ways, one, apathy, we are not interested, just stay at home and if you are a young man and you are associating with politicians, your parents will tell you to keep away from politics, it is not a good thing, if you are a professional doing well in your profession and you indicate interest to serve the public, people we say what are doing, don’t go there, don’t you see are well settled your life is, do you want to go and ruin it, so the public did not have interest in it.

Another was that the few who have interest, have cynical interest, they will say let me go and make my money, let me sell my vote, let me be a thug and collect something because it is a money making venture, so this intensions, we may have had improvements but some still harbour them so in this situation, what the Electoral Act has done is to pick examples, lessons from activities in the past which represented these fundamental mindset that I have explained but it has not addressed the mindset because there is no law that can go to the minds of the people and say if you are in government, you are serving the public, forget do-or-die affair, you can’t do anything, you can only say do-or-die people in government tend to do this or that, then you make the law so well written that it can stop them from doing their worst excesses, OK you give oath of neutrality to INEC official, you strengthen the law against bribery, you remove the anthropomorphic aspect from it where human contact is replaced with technology, all these idea of trying to adopt technology is to remove temptations from INEC functionaries, whether fulltime or ad-hoc because if you have election declared at the polling unit, you can use your finger to count the result but between the polling unit and the collation centre, you see that people complain that these numbers have been forged, people are defrauded and fake results are announced, the Courts have to now choose between two liars, the one lying a little and the one lying a lot so that’s how the election tribunals have to do with it and in some instances the election tribunals themselves get compromised or get misled or make honest mistakes and they will go on appeal and eventually we have all these problems.   So the use of technology is aimed to help us to eliminate the possibility that someone can use his discretion or mischief to change something.

Q: Still on the issue of legislation, we have seen electoral offenders walk away with their victory, without strong laws to bring them to book and they are taking advantage of this to subvert the process. What do you think should be done?

ANS: It is like this; you remember when you were in the primary school they will appoint a pupil, the teacher will go away and say write down the names of noisemakers that list never reflected on anybody’s result because it wasn’t taken seriously because sometimes when the teacher returns the pupil who was asked to write the names of noisemakers will be the loudest noisemaker at that point or write the names of people who did not give him part of their lunch or who didn’t show friendliness so it was on rare occasion you found someone who is really doing it.

The people who are supposed to enforce the law are the people who are the electoral offenders themselves that is why it hasn’t worked because if you read elections petitions, I have spent twenty years in my life filing petitions, defending petitions and all of that, infact in one of the Presidential election petitions, the party that lost, wrote that the Police thump printed ballot papers, that Police killed people, the Police snatched ballot boxes, who is supposed to enforce electoral Act, the Police. So if the Police is the offender, if the Attorney General is a stakeholder, if the INEC Commissioner who is representing the Commission is accused of fraud, if the REC is said to be working with the governor or something, so this is an elite crime and all over the world, elite crimes hardly get punished, that is why a person is more likely to be jailed for stealing a bicycle than for ruining a bank.

So electoral offences are elite crime it is only when the people are in control of the polity that they can force the elites to punish one another for their crimes, so don’t let us  go to the back end, which is electoral offences, when it happens how to punish it, no, what you should do is to prevent the crime from being committed to start with and this Electoral Act 2022 is doing more of prevention and it is also given evidence but what I tried to do for INEC, I wrote their first Electoral Offences Draft Bill and I still have and I still have a copy with me. I wrote it for them in 2006, it was meant to allow for prosecution of electoral offences the way an individual can prosecute election petition. So if I can allege in an election petition that somebody snatched a ballot box or somebody altered Form EC8 or someone committed one crime or the other, if I can allege it in an election petition and I am allowed to lead evidence, it is just that I have to lead evidence meets the threshold of criminal conviction, it cannot be by balance of probabilities, which is what the civil Act requirement is, I have to do it and prove it beyond all reasonable doubt.

If I am able to do that, why will I not be able to obtain automatic statutory fiat to prosecute anyone who is found to have committed an electoral offence. So if you want to do that, once you know that if you go to a community and you snatch a ballot box and you run away, you’re caught on video and there are witnesses, any person who is a contestant in the election can automatically rely on the Act and have you prosecuted for it. Then the perpetrators will not have the monopoly of prosecution and the second leg of it is that the Commission itself would have like the EFCC, a prosecution department.

The problem with that is that for INEC to be able to do that, they have to rise above board because in many judgments of Court of Records, there indictment of INEC officials and INEC itself, so it is asking one of the co-offenders to prosecute the others, so this is the colnoldrom that we have when it comes to the issue of prosecution because you also have to guide against the weapon being weaponized against contestants that they don’t like, so that why it is more of preventive measures in the Electoral Act, makes it easier to use technology which is unbiased. So all of these measures will not excuse the most important component, which is the people themselves have to demand a clean election and have to invest their minds, time and energy in ensuring that they contribute in making that happen but where something is a crime in the book but it is socially accepted, it cannot be a crime in real life.

Q: The issue of endorsement of people seeking public offices by a cabal has become synonymous with our electoral process, when are we going to have elections that will reflect the power of the electorate?

ANS: This is the way I understand it, in a democracy, there are many stakeholders and in a participatory democracy there are many shades of opinion. Campaigning requires you consulting and exchanging ideas with different shades and in matters that are ideological or based on principles or based on interest and sentiments, there are opinion leaders who people know as aggregating their own consciousness and there are classes, so if for example, I have certain radical views as I do have and am a new person, those who have vested interest in the country, industrialists will say we are concerned that this young man who is just fifty years old maybe he doesn’t understand the efforts we made to put all of these things in place in the country and he is going to come impatiently and scatter what we are doing, he may not know what we put in to run these industries he may come up with a physical or monetary policy that is going to disrupt productivity so I can go to the Chamber of Commerce and talk to the leadership, I can go to the stock exchange and talk to the market, I can go to the bankers’ committee and talk to the bankers and I can go to Nigerian Manufacturing Association and talk to them. So when you are doing this, they will explain to their members that they have met with him and he understands our position and he knows the risks attendant to our industry and our contributions to the economy, his policies are not against the market. If there are political leaders who agragate the feelings of certain categories, you go to them and talk to them as well and say this is what I want to do. In the case of ours where we have diversity in ethnicity, diversity in religious beliefs and these issues are in the front burner then for me and my personal experience, even things that you think you know, when you meet with these opinion leaders, you will understand why they are leaders to start with. Why did people allow them to be their leaders, because to you who don’t belong to that group, you don’t know what that leader is doing for his people and they need him, everybody should be able to pray for themselves, so why do they need the Bishops, the Sheiks and so on but when you come across these leaders, you would understand the concerns of their members and the data that they collect on daily basis on issues that can easily be assuaged by simple explanation but which nobody is offering any, they have to be the ones comforting their members. So when you interact with them, you can see that as a leader, I can solve these problems easily because now I am aware of them and many people who have been in office don’t get to be aware of  these issues until after they have left or it is too late. So same thing where you are talking to former leaders of the country, you want to learn from them why was it difficult for them succeed in what looked so simple, because I ask more questions than I ask them to do anything for me. I was with General Gowon at a book lunch and I looked at it, this a man of peace, how did a man of peace end up with a civil war, what went wrong. This was a man that had everybody with great ideas, from Awolowo to Aminu Kanu to Shehu Shagari to Anthony Enahoro and so on and so forth working with him, these were the brains of Nigeria who were contesting against one another in the first republic, they were all under him (Gowon), he was presiding over them but what happened, he was a man who was reluctant to take office, he had to be taken to rule by gunpoint but he had to be chased by gunpoint too. So these are all the things that we go to learn, because to be President of Nigeria is a very complex thing, it is not the way people look at it, the Presidency of Nigeria is a very steep responsibility, it is a very weighty responsibility, it is an office of sorrow and tears, even outwardly, it looks like pump and pageantry, because every decision you take is consequential and affects millions of people for a long stretch of time and any mistake is opportunity lost for generations unborn. So it is not a place you go to with gap in your mind, you should minimize the surprise that you will find there and you also have to remember that you are human and the frailty of human has affected other people, why would you expect your own to be an exception, so you must quickly learn from them, where arrogance led to hubris.

Q: Recent elections have been marred by voter apathy, which has been attributed to loss of confidence in the electoral process by the people, with the passage of the 2022 Electoral Act, which promises to protect the process, what is your message to Nigerians?

ANS: my message to Nigerians is for everyone to be a participant, I know it is hard but you have to be a participant and the most powerful people are the voters, even though they don’t realize it in many cases, but what makes to know that you are very important is that when all the noise making has been done, rallies have been held and all kinds of jamboree have taken place, on the day of the election, everything is quiet, it is now left to the voter and their conscience. So if our people start to participate from the beginning and start to interrogate politicians, I know it is easy to say these things but very hard to do it, but we have to do it because once you do it, you have peace. People have to by themselves desire a free and fair election, it has to be one of their prayers points because how I get to know that Nigerians want something is when they put it in prayer. So when a free and fair election becomes the prayer point of Nigerians and they demand it and to be free means to be free from violence, disruptions and all of that. To be fair means that you give each person an opportunity to play by the rules and some of the rules are in the hands of the government, like the Electoral Act which President Buhari could have refused to sign or the National Assembly could have refused to pass, those are governmental actions. Government may decide to starve INEC of funds or even send unworthy Commissioners to the place, all are in the hand of the government. The next is in the hand of the party leader, because some of the greatest criminals in Nigerian politics are party leaders. They operate with criminal intent most of the time, they do not work for their parties, they become blackmailers and racketeers and collect money from all shades id people, miscarry their primaries, have it lopsided in one person and do all sort of things and right from the primaries, problem starts. Then the politicians themselves, many know they are not popular and they have lost hope of being popular but they want to use money to do it, not just money to campaign but money to cause mischief, to buy the security agencies, to buy some INEC people and all of that. Now, the last set are the people, to be honest, even though am seeking votes and I need to be respectful and gentle to the public, we have to say the truth, the man who is saying I have my PVC and am going to sell it, is also a criminal because it is against the law and such a person cannot say, well it was hunger, whatever situation, a Policeman will say the same thing if he allows you get away with the excuse that it was hunger, he can say well I haven’t paid my children school fees, so I collected money too and the INEC official will say the same thing and the politician will say I borrowed the money so I need to win at all cost. So we need to talk to our people and what I have observed in recent elections is that a lot of people went to sell their votes, so if the people who are the least powerful individually but most powerful collectively, throw away their power and sell it for N3,000.00, why will you go and blame the politician then, so I think that same way people will be reluctant to sell their children, reluctant to sell their school certificates, the same way they should be reluctant or even rule out the idea of selling their votes. So if we have all of these desires, then we are going to have a very much improved electoral outcome and it is not just for the day of election or the day after when the result is announced, it will signal to the politician that come what may, whatever you do, the people desire good government, so while they are in office, they will not say steal all the money, it doesn’t matter if you do project because you can always buy the votes, they will say look  nobody is going to accept your money, you will have to show that you have done well and it will help us to do well. It will also improve the quality of people who come to contest because some people like us can never buy votes, that word never is in capital letter, because we are not going to commit crime to get into office, so it will encourage more people like me, if they that they have an electorate that is ready to accept them or reject them on the basis of what they present, they will come out and give it a chance but if it is bazaar and an auction, they are not going to come out because many people who have good ideas don’t necessarily have the money and many who have the money have worked hard for the money honestly and they have lived honestly  up to the point of running for an election, they are not going to ruin their character  and legacy because they want to win an election and go and serve the public. So if these stakeholders, the government, the Electoral Commission, the politicians, the party leaders and the membership of the political parties and the contestants and finally the people, if they all desire and work towards a clean election, we will have a clean election, even without this Electoral Act, we could have had a clean election but with it now, whatever we desire to do is now being facilitated for us by this Electoral Act, it makes it possible for those who are willing to work for clean election to so, it also removed the excuses of those who were cynical, who will say am not trying because even if I tried the hardest, it will still not work. It also gives the Judiciary teeth because many of the amendments arose from studying judgments of the Court, when the Judge will say well what has been done is bad but our hands are tied because the Electoral Act did not say we can do anything about it and this Card Reader is INEC innovation but it is not backed by law, now everything is backed by law, so the judiciary has no excuse to miscarry justice because as a full practicing Lawyer I can tell you that on many occasions the Judiciary has miscarried justice by obeying the law and you cannot blame the Judiciary because they are to do justice according to the law and not justice according to the truth. So they’ve been doing justice according to the law, the law now is closer to truth, it will make it easier for an adjacency to occur between them doing justice according to the law and justice to truth because when truth and law approximate, the Court finds it easier, that’s why when you hear or read some judgment of the Supreme Court, Nigerians put their hands on their heads and say what is this abomination, it is abomination according to law, so that is why we were making efforts and you would have noticed that last year October, we gathered together and made speeches, you heard what I said regarding this Electoral Act, what Attahiru Jega said and some other people when we were calling on the National Assembly to pass the Electoral Act but I went beyond to say that passing the Electoral Act is addressing past mischief, it cannot address future mischief, so their might be a coven of mischief makers meeting now and studying the Electoral Act critically with a view to no complying, that they will find some loophole somewhere, so instead of snatching ballot box,  you snatch the electronic machine, so we need to be vigilant and the leadership of the security agencies have to realize that we need to have a country to speak of before you can buy houses with election money, so that is why we need to know that the Electoral Act will not make any much difference if we do not change our attitude. We have amended the law but if you don’t amend your behaviour, there is no law, you can see how simple the ten commandment given to Moses by God is, did they obey it, no, so we need to bring the moral and ethical component to it, if we don’t, we will start blaming the Electoral Act, I like this one that we have now, it is much better than the 2010 Electoral Act, but I have been saying it the 2010 Electoral Act was enough for honest people, patriotic people. In Nigeria you don’t make your laws for patriots, you make your laws for criminals that these people have no ethics, no conscience and no sense of duty, so you make law for everything but in spite of you making your law so complex, there is always a however somewhere and that however somewhere, is what we need to use moral persuasion to do. If we don’t address the moral component, the implementation of the Electoral Act will have challenges.

If you win and emerge Nigerian President in 2023, where will be your point of take off?
ANS: First, once elected, even before I assume office, I will do the three functions given to me, the President of Nigeria, has three mandates, he is a missionary with three missions. He has the Head of State Mission, because we don’t have another Head of State, the President is the Head of State, it is unlike the First Republic where we have a Prime Minister and the President, so his first duty is to be father to the whole nation. So even before inauguration, I will make sure that I consult with every shade and opinion in this country, so that the tension and division that we have now will die down, I will meet with every one of the stakeholders, regional, ethnic, religious, classes, groups so that they know that their joy is my joy an d their pain is my pain and that every person has a stake and access to my presidency.

Secondly, is to get myself ready as the Chief Executive, ready to take office from day one so that half of my presidential initiative for the four years will be inaugurated on the day of my inauguration, very short inauguration and straight to the office to work for the first twenty four hours without stopping to ensure that I have my cabinet list ready and on that day Nigerians will know their portfolio if they pass screening and clearance.

Alleged Fake Certificate: Why Victor Giadom not qualify for APC contest - S'south forum

Ahead of the national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), 6011
the South-south Emerging Leaders' Forum (SELF) has asked the Chairman of the Screening Committee to be diligent and authenticate certificates of all aspirants to avoid future embarrassment.

The forum specifically called out one of the aspirants for the position of National Vice Chairman (South-south) Hon. Victor Giadom whose WAEC certificate is been questioned.

In a statement released to newsmen Tuesday in Abuja, the Forum's national coordinator Barrister Preye Wilson, said all efforts to authenticate the WAEC certificate of Hon. Giadom have proved abortive.

The statement said: "It was like a joke when someone drawn our attention to the controversial West African Examination Council  (WAEC) certificate on social media submitted by Hon. Giadom Victor Tombari, with certificate number NGSS 0373112, which he claimed to have sat for in 1992.

"The forum did not however take it as a social media talk but made frantic efforts to authenticate the said certificate number but to no avail. WAEC Scratch Cards were bought and when the said number were searched for on the WAEC Portal it only showing 'resul not available for this candidate in the specified year and Exams diet.'

"We are, however, calling on the APC National Convention Screening Committee to probe further and ensure that Giadom is made to defend the said certificate.

"Why we demand an explanation from Hon. Giadom, the forum also call on all security agencies to take note of this development."

The forum said it was also investigating Hon. Giadom's First School Leaving Certificate Examination which he claimed to earn in 1976 "but surprisingly wrote WAEC 14 years after (1992)."

Barrister Wilson said his organisation raised the alarm and demand explanations on the alleged irregularities "so as to avoid future embarrassment not only for the party but the entire South-south region.

"We, therefore challenge individuals and various Civil Society Organisations to also take up the challenge in the bid to dig out the truth behind the alleged certificate scandal of Hon Giadom."

Buba Galadima Reveals How Kwankaso Will Move To NNPP

The outspoken Engr Buba Galadima has reaffirmed that the immediate past governor of Kano State and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has finalised his official movement to New Nigeria People's Party NNPP as the Kwankwasia Movement and those who are not apolitical in The National Movement (TNM) have collapse their entire structures "into NNPP in preparation to receive Senator Kwankwaso officially into NNPP with loud funfairs in a welcome rally that will shake the entire country". Thereby clearing the air on the confusion that pervades the media over the status of Kwankwaso with People's Democratic Party (PDP).

This was disclosed in an exclusive interview with Engr. Buba Galadima anchored by Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba on the online Television Channel of the party, NNPP TV on Friday March 18, 2022 streaming live on NNPP TV Facebook page.

Affirming that The National Movement (TNM) that Senator Kwankwaso is convener, and Engr Buba Galadima is a major stakeholder; has joined NNPP as the political platform to achieve her aim, he categorically asserts, "in our search of a political platform for TNM, we spoke with five political parties and it is only New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) that the constitution and manifesto rhyme with the vision and ideology of The National Movement (TNM).
"Hence and we came to inevitable conclusion, which cannot be controverted that the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP is the God ordained party for the achievement of the ideology of TNM, which is the ideology of the new Nigeria that every patriotic citizen should be part of", which we all  desires and can be proud of carrying our green passport anywhere in the world. A nation that we can travel on land or sleep without fear of being kidnapped, where every Nigerian man can comfortably put food on the table for his family and where education is major priority.

Baba Galadima further clarified that "His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso PhD, is a highly respected personality with massive nation wide followers, hence a person of his caliber cannot officially move into another party without a nationwide rally to officially welcome and receive him". Hence, Baba insisted that in view of that, Senator Kwankwaso has not officially left PDP.

He however further added that as part of the arrangements to receive him officially into NNPP, Senator Kwankwaso in company of other political bigwigs like Engr Galadima and Senator Hunkuyi has met with the leadership of NNPP and were not only received, but cogent agreement has been reached to join NNPP and steps are being taken to concretise the arrangements as NNPP has dissolved her leaders to accommodate some members of TNM and Kwankwasia and a hamonised Caretaker Committee was constituted to take run the affairs of NNPP before substantive new party leaders are elected. And "party Congresses are on going that will culminate into a National Convention slated for 30th of this March, towards ensuring a hamonised" substantive, leaders for NNPP at all levels.

It is of note that while some members of PDP initially claimed that Kwankwaso was expelled out of PDP, so he had to pitch tent with NNPP, yet as the rumour of the acclaimed explosion was fading off, another set of PDP leaders extracted part of the interview granted by Kwankwaso to claim that he is still in PDP and not leaving PDP soon. In fact, to further compound the confusion, just few days ago, the former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki celebrated Kwankwaso on his official verified Facebook page, quoting part of his interview and praising him on the assumption that he will remain in PDP. Yet the news of Kwankwaso joining NNPP has been so loud both on traditional media and new media.

Zulum Begs Buhari, Others To Support Akume For APC Chairmanship

Borno state Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari, governors on the platform of Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), their deputies and all other stakeholders to consider the candidature of a former governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume, for the position of the national chairman “for the sake of fairness, equity, and justice.”

The support is coming when the Chairman, George Akume Campaign Organisation, Simone Shongo, Friday, asked for a level playing ground, assuring that the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs will emerge the next national chairman of the ruling party.

Governor Zulum, who made the plea in Abuja when he paid a courtesy call to the former Benue state governor, said if Akume emerged as the chairman of the party, it would give Christians in the party a sense of belonging.

He said: “One thing about me is that I don’t pretend. Even Mr. President is aware of this fact about my character-traits. To give our very own Christian brothers and sisters in our great party, the APC, the sense of belonging, Senator George Akume deserves the total support of all party chieftains who believe in the unity of our great party, APC.

“All Progressives Congress (APC) is never a political party for the Muslims alone. All Progressives Congress is a political party for both Christians and Muslims. Therefore, all well-meaning members of the APC should rally round Distinguished Senator George Akume as the party’s next national chairman.”

Speaking after he returned the nomination form back to the national secretariat of APC, the Chairman of the Campaign Team, Simone Shongo, told newsmen that Akume will emerge next APC chairman at the March 26 national convention.

"We have no doubt that we have done the correct thing and we have no doubt that he will emerge victorious on 26th March, the day of the convention.

"We have been assured by the party that all candidates will be given a level playing ground. And with that, we know that we have no reasons to worry and we will conquer."

When asked to comment on the zoning arrangement, the APC chieftain said: "The zoning has been done to North-central and we are satisfied with that. That is why we have bought form and we have filled and submitted. So, we are satisfied."

Reacting to Akume's public endorsement by governor Zulum, Chief Ray Morphy, an APC chieftain and strategist for the Akume Campaign Organisation is elated by the open support of the Borno governor, who Morphy described as Nigeria's current star of good governance.

Chief Morphy said: "Governor Zulum, a professor has seen the democratic credentials of Akume and the huge capacity he is bringing to the party particularly at this time when only the best hands should be brought on board."

The APC chieftain assured that with Akume as national chairman, "APC is in safe and trusted hands."

Human Capital Development Top Priority In Kaduna - Deputy Governor

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe has said that the state government led by Governor Nasir el-Rufai accords top priority to human capital development, in its quest at attaining the number one destination for harnessing talents in the country.

She expressed this on Thursday while speaking as the  Special Guest of Honour at the occasion of the Chartered Institute Of Human Capital Development of Nigeria’s Mandatory Talent Development Programme, held at the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, on   March 17, 2022.

“In Kaduna State, we have realised the importance of Human Capital Development and through the initiative of our dear Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufa’i, we have created a Human Capital Development Policy Council.

“It is a clearing house where all details of policies on human capital are planned and discussed before final approvals by the State Executive Council; it is also where executed policies are also monitored and evaluated.
“To enhance its work and meet its Term of Reference, the Council is divided into five Strategic Areas namely, Health and Nutrition, Education, Social Development, Skills Development and Community Engagement,” she said.

Dr. Balarabe explained that since each strategic area is made up of MDAs related to its tasks, the Policy Council is able to drive a lot of the reforms in the public sector that are geared towards capacity building of public servants, enhancing the quality of teachers in  public schools and providing infrastructure that are intended to improve education outcomes, maternity and childcare, health and nutrition and mental well-being of citizens.

“In addition to the routine immunisations of pregnant women and children, we have renovated 255 primary healthcare centres at least one in every ward. These clinics have been equipped and adequately staffed.

“We are also in the process of construction of new primary healthcare centres in selected locations that have been identified with needs.

“In the areas of education, we have renovated about 500 primary and secondary schools and provided parameter fences as required by United Nations agencies for the security of our children.

“Six new science secondary schools are been constructed to augment existing ones,” she said.

According to  her, in Kaduna State, they do not want any child of school going age to miss  school on account of lack of access or money.
“In addition to the free school feeding programme, we also provided free school uniforms to our students.

“We are providing 12 years of compulsory education for children from primary to Senior Secondary Schools,” she informed.

The Deputy Governor pointed out that the steps they have taken have increased school enrolment in primary and secondary schools by more than 1m.

“We are also interested in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for our students seeing that it is an easier way for providing employment to our youth as well as preparing them to contribute to the economic development of the state and the country.

“We have identified the needs of the labour market and what industries need and we are preparing our skilled hands to fill in these gaps.

” It is in this wise that your theme for this meeting, “Skills Paradigm Shifts: Identifying and Harnessing Skills and Talents for Economic Rebirth”, agrees with our vision for our young people in Kaduna state and part of the direction of the education we are providing in the state. I commend your vision and your choice of this theme,” she added.

She noted that a study of Human Capital Development reports indicate that differences in the quality as well as quantity of schooling account for the largest contribution in the differences in Human Capital Development Index of countries and across country income groups.
“Therefore, education and then health have formed the base of our human capital development in Kaduna State.

“That is why since 2015, our health sector has been receiving 15% of our annual budgets as recommended by the African Union when it met in Abuja in 2001 and 25% of the Budgets have been for education, missing UNESCO’s 26% recommendation by a mark,” she revealed.
She said that the urban renewal programme in the state is intended to provide conducive living conditions for  citizens where environmental and health hazards are reduced, mobility to and from economic and social activities are enhanced and recreational amenities are available for the physical and mental well-being of citizens.

Defection: Tijjani, Fintiri's Brother breaks silence, says lack of recognition sends him out of PDP

Brother to Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has broke silence over his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Party.

Honorable Chubado Babbi Tijjani has granted an audience to this medium refuting many of the issues the Madagali critical stakeholders raised recently in a press conference in Yola.

The two-term Madagali local government chairman during a telephone interview said the Governor and many people in his cabinet are very much aware of the contributions he made in 2019 to support the present Government of PDP.

He said the question of his political irrelevance if it's never an issue to them why are they worried and granting press conferences over the whole issue?

You would recall the critical stakeholders has during a press conference described Honourable Tijjani as a politician with less political value who has not been adding value to the party and supported Fintiri in the last 2019 election.

Tijjani gave considerably evidence to prove that the likes of Musa Shayi, Hamza and Alhaji Tukur witnessed how he mobilised people for his campaigns.

Aside his many contributions, Babbi said as a former Chief of staff with his supporters across the state, he mobilized them to work for Fintiri in 2019.

" As they rightly pointed out, politics is about recognition, and I'm not being recognized, what I wanted is even if is an appointment be made from my ward I should be consulted on even if my view will not be considered.

"So I want to agree with them if they say my staying in PDP or going to APC is of no relevance. It's because they didn't take me as anything, which informed my decision to move out of PDP. So they are right in this respect.

"I'm a politician and for me not to be consulted on issues concerning politics even at my ward level, I consider it as an insult. This is the reason why I decided to change direction and Identify myself with those that value me." Tijjani said

Babbi said he grew through the ranks of politics, from being a councilor to two-term Chairman of Madagali, Adviser to former Governor Nyako, and later Chief of Staff to Governor Bala James-led government, he should remain a valued stakeholders at least of Madagali local government.

He revealed that the main reason for him leaving PDP is a simple lack of recognition, inclusion in the happenings, or decision on issues relating to his immediate area even as a stakeholder.

" So I joined APC on personal ground, nobody influenced me, nobody called me to join and I only joined the party because of the way and manner I was treated in PDP, not because of anyone, or I follow any particular politician, no! not at all." He revealed

He described the critical stakeholders Conference as nothing than a voice of the commissioner of Land and Survey, Muhammad Umar and is not the representation of Governor Fintiri.

He berated them that there is nothing critical about them, if they are so critical they likes of Hamza Bello Madagali, the present organizing Secretary of State PDP should talk on behalf of them, but he was mute and not at the conference because of the valued relationship they have.

''I know Governor Fintiri for a very long time, he will not agree with them on this, if he wants to pass his message to anyone, he would have done that through his spoke person and I assure you I can likewise reply him adequately. So what they so called critical stakeholders did was entirely the thinking of Mohammed Umar, commissioner of land and survey. Therefore I will not join issues with the Governor because we have mutual respect for ourselves. If he wants to attack me he has all the capacity to do that. If I want to attack him I have the right to do that as a citizen of this country and we are in a democracy.

"Since he didn't do that it will be out of disrespect to say anything negative about him so I reserve my comments because I believe this is not coming from him.

"I hold the ward chairman that addressed the press during their conference in high esteem. His name is Abdu Umaru Jabu, who is a younger brother to the commissioner land and survey. This is someone who named his child after me, he is like a Father to me, he loves me then how will I join issues with him? I'm pretty sure if you give him a secret ballot paper today he will vote for me to become even the president of this country. I'm popularly known as Villa, he has a villa (his child named after me) in his house then tell me how will I fight such a person?

" To draw his attention, if he does not forget so soon that he was the one that endorsed my withdrawal letter from being a member of PDP, he was actually not happy that I left. If you watch the video of their press conference well, he was not reading his mind, it was Muhammad Umar's script. So if you talk about critical stakeholders why is Honourable Hamza Bello Madagali, who is the state organizing Secretary not part of them? This is to tell you that we know ourselves, so what's critical about them from our local government? If he (Hamza) can't come to say anything bad about me, then who are they? If at all I attack the Governor, Hamza will not shield me, he will come out boldly and tell the world, therefore I have no reason to accuse him as well." He said

He continued to say; "There is one boy by name Dauda Sa'idu, this is a young man I barely know seven months ago, he was an Okada rider when I was  a local government chairman, he was probably not in my political camp, that is why I didn't know him. But for him to say that we had a meeting with him in 2019 to vote APC is a blackmail. He lied against me, and leave to his conscience.

" For me, the summary of all this didn't come from the Governor and I will not say anything bad about him.

According to him, If they see him as someone who cannot add value to their government but at least he has one fundamental thing they can't take from him,  that he has a vote.

"Is my vote not important? Who has more than one vote among them? A good politician will not say somebody is not important." He asked

He however said years ago, building to 2019 elections they had their political differences but the hatchet was long been buried and resolved amicably.

"We had our political differences before but was long ago been resolved building to the 2019. We have being friends, we are very fearless individuals. Governor Ahmadu can boldly make his decision without fear or favor, I can also do that. During the last elections I mobilized votes for him across the state immediately he got the governorship ticket, I called him to congratulate him also. So there is no fracas between us.

" I can not say the Governor is having grudges against me at the moment, what I can only say he has  his unique type of leadership that people must reach out to him before you can relate well.  But fortunately or unfortunately I'm not the type that disturb people in authority.  if I helped you I should not be coming and disturbing you over personal issues.

"I know if the Governor finds me worthy to work for him, he can reach out to me. Besides there is nothing new for me in Adamawa state, I was a chief of staff which is the highest position Fintiri can give me,  but I was in the same office, so I don't virtually need anything from his government to survive." Babbi said

He dated back their political relationship to have existed exactly twenty two years today and have been patting the backs of one another to grow, this he said is not taking the relationship lightly.

"Governor Ahmadu, Myself, Hamza Bello Madagali, one gentleman call Gulak one, Yusuf Presido (NULGE) exactly twenty two years ago as friends we were in the same room in mecca for holy pilgrimage.

" These are people I know, so they are my friends and brothers and I'm also their friend. We have nothing personal against each other, it's a matter of opinion. We are all grown up people for God's sake. If they feel I'm not good enough to be in their camp they are entitled to their opinion. If I feel I don't like the way I'm being treated I'm also entitled to my own opinion. We can part ways, it's not a big deal." He stated

Tijjani said he left PDP for good to APC to begin a new political life as the 19th March, 2022 (coming Saturday ) he will be formally inducted into the APC, his new found party in his home town of Madagali by party stakeholders.

He however craved the indulgence of all APC members to unite as a family to grow up the party in Adamawa in the interest of all.

" I crave the indulgence of APC leaders to be fair to all as a family, we are in the opposition and if we don't get our axes right, it will be a very big blow in the party again, it means the party will remain in the opposition which we don't want.

I'm calling on the party leadership to be fair to everyone. There should not be any type of imposition for whatever reason.

"They should try as much as possible to reconcile all aspirants, but if it is proven difficult they should be given a chance to exercise their popularity. If there is justice, I assure you people will surely support the winner. In life injustice brings all manner of crises so you have to be fair to everybody, this is my call to the leaders.

" And for now, I don't have any political ambition to contest, I will not be fair to those I met in the party all these years. I think I better join the queue if there is going to be any ambition that should be in the future."Chubado said
