"Its therefore imperative to prevails on employees (driver's) for being vigilante, patriotic and fear God by ensuring that not used as accessories to parpetrate crime against the state and Nigeria atlarge".
This statement was made by the Kaduna state chairman of road transport employers association of Nigeria (RTRAN),comrade Adamu Jalaluddeen in an inauguration ceremony of 196 newly elected executives for the 18 Union chapels, recently held at Arewa house Kaduna.
According to the chairman " we must admit the fact that most of kidnap and banditry related activities usually take places on our high ways and areas around".
He however expressed that there is need for the union to collaborate with other security agencies, considering the useful roles our members could play in complementing the efforts of security operatives, by passing information for the checkmating the activities of kidnappers, banditry and other criminal elements in the society.
"We have keyed in to necessary security measures as recommended to us by the government and it's agencies by putting in place compliance and implementations organs to ensured success of efforts against insecurity".
In his addressed the Kaduna state governor Malan Nasir Ahmad El-rufai ably represented by the director of finance and planning, Kaduna state transport regulatory authority (KASTRA)Lawal Musa, congratulated the newly elected executives chapels excos,and charged them for being equity and justice while performing their administrative function for the development of the union.
" I also commended the state Union leader's and their members for the maximum cooperation given the KASTRA and the state policies, urged them for more cooperation.
