A non-government venture named “Rao’s World” organised a two days products bazaar for small and median enterprises within the Kaduna metropolis. The Event was organized by Rao’s World in collaboration with El Kanuri Barbeque founder, Hadiza Ladan.
The bazaar tagged “Back To School” held at Command Guest House Kaduna, and attracted many customers in and outside the city.
The coordinator of the event, Mrs Sade Suenu Mohammed ,lamented that “when I first came to Kaduna and started my business, I noticed that small scale businesses suffer from lack of visibility. So with the help of members of Women Entrepreneur Development Forum, we setup and organised our first quarterly bazaar at Zabina Plaza. Over Ninety (90) vendors participated in the bazaar. “a lot of them were able to network and establish contacts with customers for future purchases long after the bazaar”.
“The purpose of organising this events is to hell startups and small businesses gain much needed visibility, encourage sales of products, connectivity and networking between customers and vendors for future sales”.
One of females business ownership Khadija Aminu Yandaki the founder of “Glitzy Treats” said, “I came here to connect and network with different customers that are willing to buy my products. And also to enlighten people about the benefits of the products, as well as to create awareness for our healthy products”.
The only gentlemen in the event Mr Toyin Adio a representative of “ Memzys Place” has commended the organizers of the gathering for creating the opportunity, and an enabling environment to make it easy to interacts with different people.
Another female who engaged her amazing and brilliant ten years old daughter in marketing and advertising their products, Safiya Lawal Dan Musa, the founder of “Jay’s Ultimate Spices” advised women to engage themselves in businesses in order to assist their husbands in day to day activities.
Another non-government organisation participated in the bazaar for a “Charity Drive” under the umbrella of “Boon Hand Charity Foundation”, The founder, Faiza Ibrahim, noted that “we participated in the gathering not to sell or buy the products, our works is to collected the used or old material especially schools materials as donations from parents that come to buy the new ones, in order to gives to the non-privileged and orphans, we realized that many pupils leaves schools because they don’t have or capability to acquire the schools materials”.
Also at the event were 2 schools, Urban Barn Playgroup and Preparatory School as well as Teen Tycoon Preparatory School. Urban Barn engaged the children in various activities including Reading, Story Time, Sensory activities and career counseling.
Other Vendors were Lims Clothing, RC6, Veemal Kiddies Store, Kids Hair and Beyond, Ziyyah’s Apparel, Pearls Treats, Billy’s Crunchy Peanuts, Black Buns, Euphil Food Hub, Spices.com, Yumyum Ice Cream, Raffy’s Store, to mention a few.
