The Kaduna state commissioner for youth and sports development Hon, Idris Samaila Nyam and Mr Timothy Samuel the chairman Nigerian Volleyball Association of Referee and important sport dignitaries were conferred with the awards on Saturday night at Asaa Pyramids Hotel, Kaduna
Mr. Nyam while receiving the award express the determination of the state government to partner with sports stakeholders for improving and promoting peace and harmony among the youth
The Commissioner also commended the efforts of those who put the awards night together adding that they are pillars for sports development in the state,
He further assured them of his government support and commitment on enhancing the sporting activities in the state.
According to the Mr Solomon Omonokhua,the founder of sports legendary awards, said that "is an annual award ceremony which identifies, nominates, celebrate and reward distinguished heroes, pace setter, corporate organization and stakeholders of various sports in Nigeria and Africa.
These Icons have made a positive contribution both in past, present and future plan in sporting industry, through there outstanding characters with good record of admistrative efficient, humanitarian services in various communities, there by promoting peace and unity through sporting activities.
Responding at the event the awardees are all delighted with awards and dedicated the award to their relative and working place.
Other awardees are, : surveyor Timothy Samuel as" most outstanding charitable man in the Northern Nigeria for the year 2022", Mr Eric Kefas Chief Coach Custom Services Volleyball Team as " the most Valuable sport philanthropist in Nigeria for the year 2022, Usman S Bawa ABG, Ahamad Umar all were NNPP aspirant, and Olayinka I Abdulganiyu MD Arewa Pot among others.
