The Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima's Mandate (BAT-KASH) has attracted the massive support of the All Progressive Women (APC) and vowed to deliver 10.689 million women in 2023 presidential election.
The National Coordinator of the group under the umbrella of 774 Women for BAT-KASH 2023, Honourable Faith Pukuma said the group has all its structure across the country, working hard to give the APC Presidential candidate block votes.
Faith revealed this while commissioning the National head office of the group in Abuja donated by the North East leader, Senator Binta Masi Garba where prominent Sons and Daughters of the party were in attendance to honour the occasion.
According to Pukuma 774 Women for BAT-KASH 2023 has since began a wide consultations across the country as over 2,500 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has decamped to APC.
She said the decampees were received during the launching of its South-South zonal office in Rivers.
Faith expressed the willingness and the readiness of 774 Women for BAT-KASH 2023 to have a well organized map out strategy to deliver Bola Ahmed and Shettima's Presidential joint ticket as the best candidate for Nigeria.
She revealed that 60 women will be mobilized to handle the 176, 846 polling units in all the federation in order to ensure APC's candidates succeed at all levels in the 2023 coming elections.
The national leader told our reporter during the launching of the head office in Abuja Mrs Kashi M Shatima, Gen (Rtd) Buba Marwa represented by Otunba and a host of others were decorated as 774 for BAT-KASH 2023 Grand unit Commander, and north east unit commander respectively.
“We want to achieve 60 women as polling unit commanders in each of the LGAs across the country to work with us and help mobilize support for all the candidates of the party in the coming elections,” Pakuma said.
She continued to say that the 774 Women for BAT-KASH 2023 is an umbrella for women; a grassroot movement for BAT-KASH, an initiative she birthed out and designed to support the candidature of Tinubu/Shetima.
Buba Marwa who is also the Chairman, advisory committee of the body, and chairman of NDLEA, said the APC candidates are the preferred candidates in the 2023 general election.
He said the target of mobilizing 60 women of voting age with their passport photographs and relevant details across the 176, 846 polling units in the country is both laudable and achievable by November 2022.
Prominent among the dignitaries that graced the opening of the head office in Abuja are, Barr Sharoon Ikeazor (Honourable Minister Niger Delta), Biodun Ajiboye (Assistant Director Media Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC)
Other special guests are Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Jamaica; Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, BOT Chairman of the group and Mrs. Jumoke Anifowose, Daughter to the late Ondo state Governor, Adekunle Ajasin among several others.
