In joining many people around the world to celebrate Barr Chafari Shedrach Kanya over her recent appointment as the Director-General of West African Gas pipeline Authority (WAGPA), The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) has described the appointment as a deserving one.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to the newest WAGPA Director General signed by the Vicar of the LCCN Cathedral in Jimeta Yola, Adamawa state, Rev Joseph Babangida said the Church is happy to celebrate with the first Nigerian and the first woman to occupy such a tasking and competitive position.
This medium has quoted the letter which read in parts to have said:
"Congratulations on your appointment as the Director-General of WAGPA and on behalf of the good people and the congregation of LCCN Cathedral Nassarawo, Jimeta Yola. It gives us a great pleasure to extend our warmest congratulations to you on your appointment as the Director-General of WAGPA as the first Nigerian and the first woman to occupy the office.
" We know it's hard to attain such a position but it is your hard work dedication and passion toward the Job that enable you to achieve such a milestone.
"We pray that the good Lord that has given you this leadership mantle will give you the wisdom and understanding to carry out the duty that has been assigned to you.
"We once again congratulate you on this achievement and wish you a successful tenure." The letter read
