Make Sure You Go To Schools, Nimrod Task Players and Spectators

Nimrod Tasks Inter Barracks Volleyball Championship Players, Spectators  To Embrace Western Education

Players and spectators of the Inter Barracks Volleyball Championship which ended on Saturday at the newly renovated courts of the Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna have been tasked to pursue formal education to impact on their communities and the country.

President of the NIgeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod  gave the advise during the closing ceremony on Saturday May 15

"I want to appeal to all of us education is the background to everything. Knowledge is power. I was part of those who trekked on foot with three pennies in our pockets to Baptist Primary School.

"But today we are here. I pray God to open doors for you to be President of this country, Governor of Kaduna State or wives of governors," Nimrod, who bankrolled the championship said.

He said that the championship was a journey they never thought of, but destiny belongs to God who made it a huge success.

"I saw some people whom I have never seen for the past 30 years. A lot of military general today that have retired, started playing on these courts.

"I reiterate that there is no stubborn child in the barracks. Barrack children are in top places everywhere in the country. I want to see you move from glory to glory," he prayed.
He gave assurances that in partnership with key stakeholders, it would be an annual event.

"I want to announce to all of you that by next year, we will organise the second edition. Once again I apologise to Zaria and Kachia, next year we will be here by God's grace," he assured.
The NVBF President, who is also the Chairman of Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KASAVA), said that a tab will be kept on the renovated courts to ensure games were played on it.

"We will check on you to ensure that these courts we have renovated, will produce national and international players. God bless you," he declared.
