2023: Adamawa embattled APC Chairman makes shocking revelations of why is being hunted

.....I'm still remain a bonafide APC member and Chairman of the Adamawa chapter of the party, I can't leave the party now for PDP

By Tom Garba, Yola

Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, Adamawa State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) made shocking revelations giving the path fingers to those making efforts to ruin the party in the state.

Ibrahim in a press statement distanced himself from what is befallen the party but accused other party members for taking the aftermath of gubernatorial primaries to use him as scapegoat in order to settle scores.

He said the sponsored malicious report published by Sahara reporters against him by his political enemies are some of their plans to caged him from telling the truth in a later date.

According to him remains the party's bonafide member and Chairman because his suspension was not legally followed.

"It is therefore needs restating, as alluded in my initial response to the circus of my alleged impeachment, that I still remain APC Chairman Adamawa State chapter and a bonafide member of the APC who still cherish his membership of our great party the APC.  I can't leave the party now, not even for the discredited People's Democratic Party, in the state nor any other political party. My feet are  firmly rooted in the APC, and no amount of vitriolic attack targeted at me and other dutiful and loyal members of my Exco, who have suffered the trauma of our aborted impeachment, can overcome our steadfast resolve to see the party blossom by meeting the yearnings of teeming party members in the state to take over Dougirei government house come next year general elections." Ibrahim said

He said that the story of his defection to PDP was orchestrated by people who don't really know him well, and his political principles using the Sahara reporters as a medium known for hate speech to published the fake story

"My attention has been drawn to an incredible report in Sahara Reporters, that I have since resigned my membership of the All Progressive Congress and joined the opposition People's Democratic Party, nothing can be more malicious and vexatious, than such a misleading report.

"For the avoidance of doubt, I Ibrahim Bilal, still remains first and foremost an abiding APC member and chairman of the Adamawa State chapter of our great party. It is puerile to even conceive I could leave the party, I helped laboured to build at this material time." Bilal said

He continued to say that:

"Just a cursory background check on the current muck raking, by a few elements within the party on a futile mission to foment crisis within our party, in furtherance of the premeditated agenda of their political paymasters, would clearly reveal the root cause of the current crisis.

" I am a man caught in the web of high stake politics, and those bent on getting Bilal, out of the way, would rather hang on him, a bad name so they could hang him.

"As, it has been reported much of the antagonism against me has come as a result of the fallout of our party's governorship primaries, the truth, is those, who feel I remain a threat to their life time ambition of governing the state, against the popular will of our party men and women, feel Bilal, should be made the scapegoat for reasons of expediency. Such unconscionable actions, against a mere mortal, on whom some would like to hang their fate, can only breed strife and division and plunge the party into needless and avoidable crisis, should we allow ourselves to be bereft of restraint and circumspection.

" I am evaluating the available course of action to mend fence and ensure we navigate the ship of our party out of this perilous turbulence. I am a man of peace. The survival of our party, its hope and promise, I will never allow to suffer hurt. But I take exception to being vilified by those who are already in collusion with the ruling PDP in the state to sabotage our party's chances in the 2023 elections, which all this machinations is contrived to achieve. Nor will I let any ground for those who are subordinating the party to their own whims and caprices, that if it is not them, then everything else can go to pieces.

"This fight is not for Bilal, alone, we must unite to save our party from fifth columnist within the party, whose alternative plan is to sow confusion within the party, after having sold the party and their conscience away to  Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, with a promissory note they hoped to cash after 2023 elections.

"But we would delude ourselves, if, we fail to keep a united house. Ultimately, it is God who bestows power, on whom he wills, when he wills, no mortal can ever take that omnipotence. Without stating the obvious, Sahara Reporters, which has been reportedly, hired, as a proxy for their disinformation campaign, terribly got it wrong. Because I couldn't at this stage in my political life, have contemplated resigning my position as Adamawa APC party chairman. That said, they would soon hear from my lawyers, if within seven days they don't retract their, fallacious and mendacious report, alleging my fictitious defection to the PDP.

"Once again, I wish to thank all APC faithfuls in Adamawa, for their solidarity, and goodwill, in this moment. This season, foisted upon us by elements bent on plunging a virile party into crisis will come to an end. Before that, the lesson of this moment, is that our peace and serenity as a party, must be guarded. It is priceless. And needs guarding jealously by all stakeholders of goodwill.
The script of the opposition to plunge the party into crisis, at the verge of a crucial elections, should reawaken our consciousness and vigilance. Because democracy dies through nonchalance to actions of a political class bent on subverting the rule of law."

Atiku: Accept defeat, don't allow your pride to end your political career-Adamawa PDP stalwart warns Wike

.....remember the disgraceful fall of Biblical Pharoah and Nebuchadnezzar should be a lesson to you- Wosi

By
Tom Garba, Yola

A People's Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart in Adamawa State, Mr. Mark Wosi blasted the Governor of Rivers State, Nyenson Wike by warning him to tread with caution over his pride attitude for not accepting defeat.

He said the way and manner Nyeson is doing is becoming unbecoming of a politician of his worth who is heating the polity of the PDP unnecessarily.

Mark a loyalist of the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar warned Wike to know that Atiku started politics long ago before his dream of becoming a political figure in River state become a reality.

Wosi said the daily noise making of Wike has best described his political inexperience, forgetting that defeat is part of the game of politics that will make one a better politician.

But his attitude of not allowing PDP to be because Atiku is the preferred candidate to win through the popular votes of Nigerians is discrediting the party.

Mark advised Wike to stop shifting blame and stop chasing the shadows over the emergence of Atiku, the presidential candidate, and Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP national chairman.

He said Both Atiku and Ayu came through the party congresses, and he should be reminded that the Presidential candidate has the prerogative right to choose whoever he likes to be his Vice President.

"It always surprises me to hear Wike making noise that he has been keeping and running the party in Atiku's absence. Let me tell you before Wike think of becoming a member of PDP many people have been running the affairs of the party.

" Wike is not a founding member of PDP, Atiku is a forefront founding member whose wealth was used well to grow up the party to its present glorious stand. And whenever Atiku left the party for another he did that for a concrete reason.

"For example when he was a Vice President and wanted to contest, President Olusegun Obasanjo stopped and threatened to expel him from the party. To prove a point it's his right to contest, he went to court and a judgement was passed in his favor but he later left the party. This and many reasons Atiku at one point of the other left PDP for other political parties." Wosi said

Wosi berated Wike to stop claiming that the 2023 presidential election it's the turn of the South.

Mark going by calculation he recalled from Goodluck Jonathan's administration when it was the turn of the North led by Umaru Musa Yar'adu's administration, it was abruptly short-lived by his death and Jonathan has to take over, who is a Southerner.

"It was at this point that people like Atiku raise and say to Jonathan's aspiration of continuity must not be, but won the election in 2011, a reason he (Atiku) left PDP again to APC in 2015 to prove to Jonathan that there is a zoning policy over the years been respected.

" So what is the noise about? Atiku has been a founding and a funding member of PDP, running the affairs of the party from his pocket before Wike should think of joining the party.

"Wike does not have to say he is the one bankrolling the party, Atiku has been doing that nobody knows and is still doing it without anybody's knowledge.

" Atiku is a mature politician who since 1992 to date has been contesting elections to be the Presidential and losing he has never complained. But  Wike's case is different, I guise he is just a baby when it comes to politics.  Because one lost an election and he wants heaven to fall?

"It doesn't suppose to be so, he should allow PDP to move on, maybe is not his time, he should not take the position of God because he didn't get the presidential ticket of PDP or he was not picked to be a vice president," Mark stressed

The Atiku supporter warmed Wike not to play the position of God over his life and political career.

He chided the River state Governor to be careful not to end up being like the Biblical Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar whose pride made them have a disgraceful fall.

"I advise him to calm down and move forward the party with the good spirit of sportsmanship, because is not the first person to lose an election. He should allows peace to reign and allows Atiku to be in pushing the agenda of PDP to win the election come 2023." Wosi added

We're seeking full autonomy not just finance - NULGE National Vice President

By Matthew Denis Abuja

In effort to strengthen the dividends of Democracy across the three tiers of Government, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has called for full autonomy including Financial, Administrative and Political activities of the local councils in Nigeria.

The National Vice President of the Union Northeast zone, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe made the disclosure during an exclusive interview with Nigerian NewsDirect Correspondent shortly after a three Days workshop organised by Association of Chairmen Local Government Service Commission of Nigeria held in Abuja recently.

He said " the bone of contention now concerning the issue of Local Government autonomy is at the States Assembly because the National Assembly has over the years passed this autonomy to them.

"But let me correct this notion that we're not only seeking for Financial autonomy, the autonomy being sorted for is both political, financial and even administrative autonomy.

" NULGE as union being the advocate of this pursuits with the people's voices, we felt people working in this environment  are the credible voices that can actually  stand for the masses of Nigeria to ensure that this autonomy becomes reality. Therefore, it is not only for fiscal policy but also for political administrative area.

According to him about 10 states have passed the autonomy bills when the National Assembly transmitted the bill to the states Assembly.

He said " some of these states are Katsina, Kogi, Edo, Anambra, Enugu, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Ondo and Ogun and we're optimistic that some states will follow soon.

" This time the states actors most especially the lagislators should see the reasons why the wishes of the people should be granted because it's this wish that the the local governments should be liberated to perform and deliver true dividends of Democracy.

Comrade Fashe decried that there's disconnection between the people and the Government noting that the councils are not performing like what they were known for.

He said " these lapses in the local governments is owing to the fact the state Governors have shutdown the functions of these councils. Even the allocations that is going to these councils from the Federation accounts doesn't reach to them in good shape and some of these councils Chairmen cannot even pay workers salary not to talk about delivering dividends of Democracy.

"People have perception that why NULGE is at the vanguard of this autonomy agitation is because of their salaries and welfare but we're doing it to justify why we're being paid too as a service delivery organization.

On the workshop the Vice President stressed that it is timely considering the fact that part of the Duties of the Commission is training and retraining of their staff to enhance effective service delivery.

"They Organised this workshop solemnly to Keep the local government workers abreast as agents of Democratic challenges. This workshop wouldn't have come in any other time than now as the theme suggests ' the imperativeness of local governments system and an Agent of Democratic consolidation and Grassroot Development.

"The approach they made is a sustainable approach as the programme is targeted at building the capacity of local government workers as critical stakeholders to bring development to grassroot people.

" Of course whatever policies of the Government at the grassroot it's the workers that serve as engines to carryout and ensure such policies are successful. Therefore it's natural for training and retraining to develop their capacities since they are the most closer to the rural dwellers.

He debunked the rumors making rounds that the workshop was targeted at cajoling workers at the third tier of Government towards particular Political candidates in preparation for the 2023 general elections.

" This workshop like I mentioned is for capacity building for workers at councils level as agents of Democratic consolidation at the Grassroots. It has nothing to do with Politics.

Empowerment: Reps Member Samaila Suleiman Sets To Shower 100M Naira On 10,000 Constituents

By Gambo Abubakar

All arrangements have been concluded by a Federal Legislator  Malam Samaila Suleiman to dole out One Hundred Million Naira as empowerment on 10,000 most vulnerable members of his Kaduna North  Constituency.

Hon. Suleiman, is a Member currently Representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency and also a Candidate of People's Democratic Party's (PDP) in the forthcoming 2023 House of Reps election for Kaduna North, the empowerment programme have started on Friday last week and to  end on Monday and Wednesday 7, 2022.

Based on information gathered, the beneficiaries were carefully selected from 12 wards across Kaduna North Federal Constituency whom would be given 10 thousand naira each to alleviate hardship faced across the country.

It noted  that 3000 people from the Constituency had earlier benefitted from the programme , adding that the cash sharing gesture would be a continuous one until a large chunk of persons in need had been adequately covered.

" It unsettles me seeing people grappling with  unbearable hardship brought upon them by this present administration which has no immediate plans of lifting Nigerians out of poverty and life of misery.

" The situation is so bad and pathetic that most households cannot feed three times daily, with many going to beds on empty stomachs.

" Nigerians have lost hope in this administration which has been borrowing year in year out  with nothing to show as positive impacts executed with the borrowed sum.

" So I have decided with the little I have to cushion the effects of bad governance this country has been plunged into so the less privileged in my Constituency could smile too.

" A reasonable number of youth and women have benefitted over the years from various empowerment items such as Sewing, Grinding and Irrigation machines, Keke Napep, Cash, Cars etc.

" Many have been trained on various vocations and provided with startup kits to enable them fend for themselves and be self-reliant in this current economic bottleneck.

" I intend to make it a continuous support programme to empower my people so they will feel the dividends of democracy they have been denied by the present administration at federal and state level , " he said.

2023: Non-Remittance Of 5% Guber Aspirants’ Fees To Zones ‘Dims’ Atiku’s Chances

There are indications that the alleged failure of the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party to remit five percent of funds paid by the party’s governorship aspirants across the six geopolitical zones will mar Atiku Abubakar’s chances in the 2023 presidential election.

Our correspondent in Kaduna gathered that the five percent is a statutory sum to the zones, but PDP National has failed to remit it, hence dampening the morale of zonal executives.

A source at the PDP secretariat, who does not want his name mentioned, said, “The zones are to statutorily earn the five percent. The higher the number of the aspirants for each zone, the higher the amount they get. For instance, North Central has above 30. North West, where I come from, also has a quite number of aspirants. South West recorded a large number of aspirants. I can’t say for sure how many bought the form in the South East, but plus or minus, 40. If the zones are yet to be paid, they should follow the due process.”

An executive of the PDP, North-West zone, on condition of anonymity, said, “The non-remittance is affecting our operations. It has also dampened the spirits towards making our presidential candidates and other candidates victorious. That is all I can say, but the development is unfortunate.”

An executive of the PDP in South-South zone said, “We are not allowed to speak. But at times, our leaders fail to realise that elections nowadays, with the new Electoral Law, are about commitment. Such commitment can only be gotten through transparency. We waited for the remittance for a long time, but it seems not forthcoming. I advise the hierarchies to wade into it before it is too late. 2023 will be dicey.”

A supporter of Atiku Abubakar, who identified himself as Sailisu, said, “PDP leaders might be plotting how to make Atiku lose. They should wake up. The zones are vital, and anything to short-change them by not remitting the percentage, as contained in the party’s book, will portend doom.”

Meanwhile, the national publicity secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, has denied not remitting the five percent to the zones.

Debo, in a furious response, told our correspondent weekend that, “It is not correct. Can you find something more important to do? If you are interested, come to the PDP national secretariat and find out from finance. We are finding ways to save our country from the APC. You are saying something because some people are saying something. It is not correct. Can we end this conversation? It is not correct.

“In fact, it is not the matter we should be dwelling on. We need Nigeria to survive, and that is the project of the PDP. APC has destroyed this country, and we are here to salvage it. You just said that it is an allegation. The best person to answer you is the financial secretary of the party, but I can assure you that it is not true.”
