Alleged Abduction Of Commuters Along Maiduguri -Damaturu, False Alarm - Operation HADIN KAI:

The attention of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has been drawn to series of unsubstantiated reports making rounds today, 11 December 2021 on social media and some pages of newspapers on the purported abduction of Maiduguri bound commuters by members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) along Mainok and Borgozo in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

Operation HADIN KAI, Colonel  Ado Isa, dated December 11, 2021, said that  the alleged incident which is false, misleading with the sole intention to smear the glaring good efforts and achievements of OPHK was said to have occured on Saturday December 11, 2021. 

"The fact is that members of the terrorists group emerged through the Dole/Bari villages on some vehicles with the intent to mount snap  road blocks in order to cause havoc and apprehension in the hearts of villagers and commuters. Troops on mobile patrol within the general area foiled the attempt without any delay. 

"There was no abduction of any commuter today. It was just the imagination of mischief makers who are not happy that peace is gradually returning to the North East," it said.

Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI assured that it will continue to sustain the peace efforts by ensuring the Maiduguri - Damaturu Main Supply Route (MSR) is not only fortified to frustrate the evil intentions of the terrorists but the Theatre will continue to ensure all locations are adequately manned by highly trained troops ready to defeat any criminal act against the peace loving citizens.

Members of the general public were therefore,   urged to disregard all forms of reports in the media regarding the recent abduction of  commuters alleged to have occured along the MSR today. 

"We crave for understanding and cooperation of every well meaning members of the public. We should all remain calm and verify issues with the military authority as unsuspected group of persons are planning to cause apprehension and anxiety especially as the yuletide season is already here," it concluded.

RESPONSE TO PRECIOUS CHIKWENDU'S FALSE ACCUSATIONS.

Precious Chikwendu claimed that I was responsible for most fights between her and Chief FFK and claimed I called her derogatory names which are just lies and cheap way of getting sympathy from the general public as her custom is. 

It's so unfortunate that she turned out to be an ingrate and chose to employ lies on me because I posted that those issues in circulation on social media are not good for her four sons to read in the future.

 And I have personally said same to Chief FFK, who to the best of my knowledge,i have not seen him posting on her issue, rather it was his lawyer's response that I saw and he has even said he won't say anything personally on her issue. 

But funny enough some Nigerians don't used to care to hear the other side of issues before jumping to conclusions especially if it has to do with a female accusing a pastor. 

Of course the new trend now is that social media has become a tool of cheap blackmail against pastors. And social media has turned many people to "journalists" even when they don't understand the ethics of journalism that if a person is accused you (bloggers) don't just post one sided story you reach out to the person and hear his own side so as to balance your report.

 Amusingly some bloggers carried her lies without anyone trying to contact me in any way to even hear my own side. 

Note that I am not one that would publicize the good I have done for someone but just for the record, I have to respond to her childish and cheap lies and will be forced to say just little out of many things.

Precious Chikwendu, on more than two occasions, I have settled issues between you and Chief FFK. An example was the Anambra State incident where you angrily left the hotel room where you were lodged with Chief at odd time, even hit the police man that was begging you not to go to your father's house. 

But you left and still the lawyer that was with us then and I, had to plead for you with chief and we got down to your father's house with chief to ensure reconciliation.

Or was it that of 28th December 2019 (I am mentioning this case because it's already on social media) when chief called me and told me of how he caught you in the act of adultery in a hotel room with a Naval Officer, and how he was done with you and will release the video of you and the guy on social media.

 But I took the next available train from Kaduna to Abuja only because of that and still pleaded with chief not to make any post that will tarnish the image of his children's mother. He listened to my plea but vowed before me and others not to ever make love to you from that day on. 

And I was still preaching to him for forgiveness and reconciliation of you both even when others were shouting ,"send her away" to the extent that the staff in the house did not only celebrate that you would never return, they even went to House on the Rock Church to thank God that the person deducting their salaries and oppression them had been shown the way out.

 But as I returned to Kaduna I still kept calling and talking on the need for forgiveness until Chief FFK brought you back to his house. 

On another occasion that you packed out of the house among many occasions (of packing out and packing in), I even called you on phone and spoke with you after talking to chief so that both of you can get back together for the sake of the kids who are entitled to both parents' love and presence.

Even the night I received call that you carried knife and was jumping from on top of chair to another chair; that the entire staff were scared, that Chief FFK said he had to call a female police DPO to come with female police officers and it took several hours till late into the night, before they could get the knife out of your hand and you were taken for psychiatrist attention the next morning. 

While others were expressing fear that what if it starts happened to you in the dead of the night while you are alone with Chief FFK and you stab him, I still prayed that God heal you. Now you are turning against me? 

You even lied to the extent that you that once claimed Chief FFK can't perform on bed now turn to lie again that I anointed WOMEN that were brought on your BED. Ha, Precious Chikwendu, I have never and will never introduce any single lady to another single man for marriage not to talk of ever introducing women to a married man. God forbid!

As per the prayers, not only have I and is still praying for chief, I have prayed for you as well and I do pray for anyone that I am close to and I will still continue praying for all the people I am close to and no devil can stop that because I am called to bless. 

Before you went for your last surgery, chief called me and I prayed for you, both during and after the surgery. I have always prayed for peace in the family and your children as well. You are in the know of all these but you always take to social media to solicit for sympathy through lying.

 On the false and laughable allegations that I am living in Chief FFK's house: since you claimed that my members don't see me in church, then give my church address to your followers and tell them to come any Wednesday 5pm during our Midweek Service or any of our two services on Sunday at 7 am and 8:45 am respectively. 

Then if they don't see me and I am in the country they can conclude on that. I won't say more than this.

Over this your relationship issue, you have lied on Chief FFK, Mrs Regina in Ghana, a Senator, police personnel, lawyers and now it's the turn of pastors and my turn for you to lie on. Ironically, some Nigerians are still believing you despite that you have two criminals cases in different courts over defamation of character, falsehood, conspiracy and cybercrime.

 The cases are still ongoing, yet you still continue for the media attention through false and malicious allegations on people.

GET THIS CLEAR TODAY, I HAVE NEVER BEEN PARTY TO ANY BROKEN MARRIAGE AND I WILL NEVER BE PARTY TO SUCH. RATHER BY THE GRACE OF GOD, MANY MARRIAGES THAT WERE AT THE VERGE OF COLLAPSE HAVE BEEN RESTORED THROUGH ME, AS FAR AS BOTH PARTY TAKE COUNSEL AND PRACTICE THE WORD OF GOD AS TAUGHT. 

And I still stand on my point that continuous social media ranting will only keep exposing things your children will not be happy to read when they grow. I just hope you realise what you are doing yourself before it becomes too late...

Arewa Group Slams Journalists For Linking Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau To DSS Arrest*

A group, Arewa Think Right Group has tasked journalists to cross check information, facts and clarify from reliable sources before going to press.

 

The charge was handed out by the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade  Hamza Alkasim, in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Thursday December 9, 2021, in which they frowned at those responsible for reports, alleging that a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested by the Departmental of State Security Services (DSS)

"We were shocked and totally disappointed with media houses that reported the news as the former COAS, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested by the DSS.

This is a blatant lie. The former COAS was never invited nor arrested by the DSS.

"Without mincing words, we categorically state that although we heard another Dambazau was arrested, it was not the former COAS they declared.

They wondered why some media organisations published the story as such, adding that it is a clear case of mischief.

"Linking the former COAS, General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau to DSS arrest was not fair, because he was never invited nor arrested. Instead, one Brigadier General Idris Bello Dambazau (Rtd) was arrested," they stressed

The group said that the Former COAS was a man of proven integrity and respect who contributed and served his fatherland with passion and humility.

Kaduna NUJ Polls:We Trust Farida - NTA Chapel

 

Chairman NIgeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), NIgeria Television Authority (NTA) Kaduna Chapel, Suleiman Abdullahi Rigachikun  has said that Farida Abubakar is someone who can be trusted with leadership.posituon, because of her democratic tendencies.

He expressed this, when Team Farida Campaign visited NTA on Thursday December 9, 2021, ahead of the Kaduna council polls billed for December 16.

"She is someone we can trust. She is not the type of person that does not listen to people and does not forgive," he said.

Speaking further, he expressed hope that if Farida wins the polls, she will unite all members.

"You are most welcome and we hope that you will come and unite the NUJ.

"We have received calls for endorsement, even from Abuja advising us on who to support," he added.

A Principal Reporter with NTA Kaduna, Achari Maxwell in her remarks, said that as a corps member in KSMC, Aunty Farida was allowing her to cover the governor's wife, no matter how small she was.

"Now that you are coming on board, we will be expecting differences and when you get there, we will start coming to NUJ Secretariat.

"We have benefitted from her in several ways, we are looking forward to having a mother like her in NUJ," she said.

In his remarks, A Senior Reporter, Sunday Adamu said that unprofessional conducts from journalists should be checked when Farida comes on board.

"My plea is by the time you get there, try to sanitize the system, so that the battered image will be restored," he appealed.

In his remarks, another Principal Reporter, Ahmed Kudan wished Farida the best and tasked her on ensuring unity and retraining of members on modern journalism.

Hajiya Farida in her remarks, said that she was there to solicit their support in the polls coming up December 16, 2021.

She explained that she doesn't want to make promises, however, if she emerges, her first congress will determine what to do.

"It will be an all inclusive government.

"One thing I will promise you is to unite members of NUJ Kaduna and NTA who have not been coming to NUJ will be carried along.

"You have not been active members of NUJ and I am not happy. NTA is the largest television station in Africa. I will unite all. Please vote me in so I can unite all our members.

"We are journalists, why should we be fighting each other. You all know my track records, I have always had cordial working relationship with all my colleagues in previous positions held.

"I will be transparent and NTA must be part of my government. I want to say thank you for your support, looking forward to seeing you at the swearing-in," she stressed.

Kaduna Golf Club Marks It's Centenary This Week

The Kaduna Golf Club, founded in 1921 is set to celebrate its centenary amidst fun-filled moments effective from the 13th of December, 2021 all through 18th December.

The Captain of the Club, Engineer Ibrahim Aminu Bagudu disclosed that an uncommon 100 years of the club in existence would be celebrated from December 13th  through 18th with various activities for the pleasure of the club’s over One Thousand members and other golfers across the nation.

He also disclosed that over one thousand members and golfers from across the country would grace the centinary celebration.

Among activities lined up for the centinary celebration are a Pro-Am Golf tourney and Golf clinic for both young and elderly and to be climaxed with Dinner and Award night.

Side attractions will include a cultural night,  evening relaxation and comedy.

‘’The atmosphere is indeed charged’’, an elated Bagudu disclosed adding that, ‘’I can tell you that our action Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who is also the patron of the club is quite delighted that the Kaduna Golf Club remains the pride of the North by still remaining formidable after 100 years of existence and looking forward to the celebrations".

The Captain, however, took time off to eulogize the sustainability spirit of the Club’s Board of Trustees members which include the Emir of Birnin Gwari, HR, Mallam Zubair Maigwari II, Col. Umar Dangiwa (Rtd), Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd), Arch. Muhammed Dewu, Engr. Andy Yakubu and Prof. Shehu Abdullahi.

He said, the members of the BOT have done so well to keep club members intact through the bad and good times. They contribute in no small measure to our strength of of the club in the past 100 years, he further stressed.

Kaduna NUJ Polls: Team Farida Visits Federal Information, Freedom Radio, Invicta FM, Liberty TV/Radio

*says she is constitutionally cleared to contest

Stepping up its campaign ahead of the NIgeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council elections billed for December 16 by the Credentials Committee, Team Farida has taken a tour of more media establishments within Kaduna metropolis.

Tuesday's campaign commenced at the Federal Information Chapel, where they were hosted by executives and staff.

Acting Zonal Director Federal Ministry of Information Kaduna State, Adijat Dupe Saibu in her remarks, expressed delight by Farida Abubakar's bold step in vying for the top position in Kaduna Council.

"We are happy that Hajia Farida is coming out as the Chairman of NUJ.

"As the NAWOJ chairman, Farida Abubakar performed excellently well, and after she left, we from Federal Information decided not  to attend NAWOJ meetings.

She will have our full support," she declared.

Chief Information Officer of Federal Information Kaduna, Hajiya Adamu Ciroma in her remarks, wished her the best.

At Invicta FM, Head News, Mr. Didam Laah in his remarks, harped on the need for the NUJ to be better organised.

He said it is unfortunate that presently, advent of smart phones and social media has made journalism an all comers affair, stressing the need for measures to distinguish real journalists from charlatans.

Chairman NUJ Chapel of Liberty TV/Radio, Mohammed Idris in his remarks when the team arrived their office, said that he has known Farida right from his days of covering news at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House and is proud of her track records.

He said he was optimistic that if a leader with wealth of experience that she posseses emerges Kaduna NUJ Chairman, the council will be set for unprecedented progress.

At all the media houses visited on Tuesday, Farida told them that according to the powers vested on the credentials committee by the NUJ Constitution, she is cleared for the contest, contrary to disinformation being spread by some detractors, who are obviously scared of facing her at a free and fair polls.

At Freedom Radio, Head of News, Nura Mada said that as a professional body, the NUJ deserves persons of unquestionable character and integrity to lead members.

He told them that he was impressed by the composition of the campaign team, comprising senior colleagues that he has much respect for.

Also speaking at all the visited media houses, the Director General, Team Farida Campaign, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson  said that Farida is a seasoned journalist with over 20 years of experience.

"Because of her track records, the candidate contested for Chairman, KSMC chapel and defeated even male counterparts.

"Based on her records, journalists decided to persuade her to contest," he added.

As the campaign of Team Farida moved out on interaction with various chapels ahead of the 2021 NIgeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna Council Polls on Monday, chapels and media organisations visited,  have warmly received them.

During the visits embarked upon on Monday December 6, all the media houses visited, seperately agreed that whoever will emerge chairman of the council, should be experienced, tried and trusted on similar capacities.

At the  frontline Kaduna radio station, Nagarta, which transmission transcends the Northern region and the shores of Nigeria, The General Manager, Abdulmalik Addy explained that although it is their duty to support all candidates, they also have the conscience to do what is right.

"I believe that you will do well as the NUJ chairman. Experience shows that you have everything  to be the NUJ Chairman.

"However, let's try as much as possible to make this election rancour free," he advised.

He advised her that if she emerged victotrous, she should be magnanimous to her opponents.

"But if you lose, be humble accept the results. The NUJ is populated with charlatans. When you get there as chairman, please see to it that it is proffessionalized," he charged. 

At the Premier newspaper publishing house North of the Niger, Malam Yusuf Musa, acting Managing Director of the New Nigerian Newspapers Ltd, said that with the calibre of persons in her campaign.team, he is optimistic that she would excel at the polls.

"Anytime Hajia Daharatu Aliyu is always here and any time she embarks on an assignment, she is always successful.

"As for Jacob onjewu Dickson, our  Online Editor, he is another dogged fighter, anything he does, he is also successful. Therefore, you have a winning team," he said.

"I want to wish you a smooth campaign," he prayed.

Speaking further, he added that in a short time, something good will happen to New NIgerian Newspapers as the Northern Governors Forum is set to revitalize the outfit.

At Vision FM, a senior staff and veteran journalist, Bello Ibrahim Ismail said that they would give Farida all the necessary support.

"Even though, we don't have votes because we are yet to be recognised as a chapel,  but we can convince others who have the votes to support you" he assured.

Also speaking, a female journalist at the radio station, Rabi Alummaya said that she was excited that a 

a woman  with experience is contesting got the NUJ chairmanship.

Welcoming the team at AIT/Rapower FM, a senior correspondent, Yusuf Kudan assured Farida Abubakar of 109 per cent support from them.

"AIT/ Raypower will give their support to any candidate that would move the council forward," he said.

Also speaking, the Head of Radio Raypower FM Kaduna, Josephine Cyril  said that Farida deserves the necessary support.

At DITV/Alheri Radio, the Controller, Alhaji Shuaibu Gimi said that he was excited that Farida is preaching unity, a theme that keys into one of the main reasons NUJ was founded.

"Unity is very important in the association. Just like the  U stands for Union in the acronym of NUJ, it is essential.

"We have heard you and our staff that have voting powers will look at the candidates and choose for themselves, who will be the better candidate," he said.

Addressing the hosts at all the places visited respectively, Farida assured that if voted and she emerges, uniting the council will be her first priority.

She explained that for a full rundown of her plans for the council, she will be inviting them to the manifesto event, where the detailed plans would be unveiled.

Some chapel executives in attendance at Nagarta Radio were; Zainab Ibrahim Sodangi, Sani Shehu Galadanci, Musa Aliyu Gombe and Andrew Mshelia.

At the New Nigerian, Funmi Aderinto, Friday Idoko, Isaac Odeh, Usman Nasidi and Peter Nosakhare  were on ground.
