No fewer than 400 participants are receiving training at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, courtesy of the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in collaboration with the office of the Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly on Youth and Sports 3-day Workshop on Coaching, Management and Psychology.
The opening ceremony of the workshop on Thursday June 17, attracted several dignitaries, including the Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, who declared it open.
Also at the opening ceremony, were the Deputy Speaker Kaduna Assembly, Rt. Honourable Isaac Auta, Commissioner of Sports Development, Professor Kabiru Mato, represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Yamusa and Director of Sports, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim.
Top rated resource persons that lectured the coaches and administrators are; Dr. Alex Manna, Coach Austine Eguavoen, Dr. Jimmy Adeniyi, Barrister Musa Ahmadu and Mainasara Illo.
In an interview with newsmen, the SSA Youth, Sports and Culture to Kaduna Speaker, Yusuf Zailani, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams, expressed delight.at the success so far recorded.
He said at the end of the workshop, Kaduna will be blessed with more knowledgeable sports coaches and administrators that will transform the sector in the state.
